How to make?
A master class on creating a jute owl for beginners will allow you to make an unusual decorative element for storing keys with your own hands. First of all, a lump of the size that the bird itself should be is formed from newspapers. Next he wraps himself in a plastic bag and carefully wraps himself with paper tape.Similarly, a slightly smaller ball is formed, used for the head of an owl, after which both blanks are glued with newspaper strips. Having covered their papier-mâché, you must wait until both balls are dry.
The finished torso with the head is painted in a brown shade and, after drying, is smeared with PVA glue and completely framed with pieces of burlap. Owls are cut out of thick cardboard and glued with jute strips. The eyes are formed from pompons, in the middle of which suitable beads are fixed, and the legs are made from sticks of small length, wrapped in jute and connected in three pieces. For feathers, burlap is suitable, the pattern on which is formed using paper blanks. All components are interconnected, and the owl is fixed on a painted and varnished branch with hooks for keys.
It must be added that the owl can be completely glued with jute using a glue gun. In this case, it should first be painted brown, soaked in instant coffee. By adding a small amount of PVA glue to the liquid, the threads will be able to give the required stiffness and prevent its unwinding. The essence of this master class is that the cardboard basics of the required shape are made out of jute twisted in a certain way. For example, as a blank for the body, one-fourth of the food film roll is used, filled with newspapers and wrapped in these places with masking tape to add volume. The body is simply wrapped tightly in twine, starting from the bottom. The paws of the bird are created from unfolded staples, again decorated with jute, and to create wings the thread is twisted in the required form simply with glue.
