The stages of cutting and sewing will be as follows:
- With a pencil on paper, draw and cut out the pattern of the bag. The main contour of the pattern needs to be circled several times. This will allow you to correctly see and cut the drawing.
- Prepare fabric for sewing. The material can be taken as new, as well as to get trimmings from previous sewing. Very thin fabric needs to be duplicated with non-woven fabric. Old jeans will do too. Before opening, jeans must be strung, washed and ironed. Lining material is also required.
- You need to think about another point in advance: the bag will be sewn from a whole canvas or assembled from pieces of fabric. In the first case, the bag is cut out entirely. On the seamy side of the product, make a transition piping (the joint of the seam should be on the inside of the handles). On the outside of the handles, you can lay a machine line.
- Iron the finished parts with an iron.
- Patterns of the bottom of the fabric to combine, the wrong side should be inside. Basting will help to avoid bottom curvature. In the middle of the bottom make a draft. This will allow you to carefully sew the bottom. Basting will hold 2 bottom parts when sewing in the correct position.
