How to create a resume hairdresser?

At any time, a good hairdresser was worth its weight in gold: there was a long record for him, and many dreamed of becoming a regular customer. Of course, more than one beauty salon wanted to get the staff of such a sought-after specialist. Today, little has changed. But it helps to strengthen professional positions not only "word of mouth", but also a good self-serve. Including a correctly composed resume.

First and foremost, as the specialist calls himself. Make no mistake in the designation, this is often done by young hairdressers.

Accuracy of wording:

• hair stylist - an artist who specializes not only in haircuts, hair styling, dyeing, he knows how to make complex hairstyles, which are more examples of hairdressing, rather than everyday requests of clients;
• stylist - you can contact him on any issue that relates to hair, and not only the creation of hairstyles, but also comprehensive hair care;
• universal hairdresser - shears both women and men, skillfully choosing the best option for the client.

The master hairdresser performs haircuts and dyes, makes model hairstyles and styling, weaves, consults the client.

Not a single resume is complete without this item. As a rule, filling out a document begins with it. First name, middle name, last name - the first thing the applicant writes. The next column is the date of birth. Next, you need to specify contact information: phone, email, skype.

Some applicants in the same paragraph indicate marital status, but since this aspect is unlikely to be so significant for the employer, it is better to transfer this information to the item “Additional Information”. Next to personal information, it makes sense to attach a photo. It can be a portrait photo.

In this paragraph, you can specify the core activities. A hairdresser can perform a wide range of work, but specialize in a specific segment. For example, you are profiling on complex painting techniques and would like to work more as a colorist. Do not be afraid to state this in your resume. Or, for example, you have experience working as a children's hairdresser, you even graduated from distance learning courses in pedagogy and childhood psychology (which is really done today by specialists who aspire to career growth). Be sure to include this in your resume.

Usually its countdown begins with the first entry in the work book. But if you took part in major contests while studying at college, you have already declared yourself at that time, indicate this in a separate section in this paragraph. Of course, only those who really can consider student years to be the beginning of their career should write like that.

In the paragraph “Responsibilities” you need to register only the functionality to which you have a practical relationship. That is, describe in a list what you did in your previous workplace. What the “Responsibilities” item might look like:

• haircut;
• various types of styling;
• carrying out rehabilitation and care procedures;
• creating hairstyles of varying complexity;
• determination of the client’s hair type and advice on competent hair care;
• hair coloring.

In the "Achievements" section, you can list professional awards, the fact of participation in contests and events, thanks and diplomas from the management. If your professional victories, interviews, stories about you came out as a media product (TV report, Internet blogs), you can attach links to them in this section.

In the hairdresser's resume, this list can take up a lot of space. In addition to the main place of study (for example, a technological college), the hairdresser continues to study throughout his career. Seminars, trainings, master classes, courses - as a rule, a specialist is always interested in such education. Chronologically list all the training activities that you can add to your asset.

If a separate paragraph “Personal qualities” is not provided in the resume, you can indicate them in this section.

There are some mistakes when filling out a resume that can be called unforgivable. And while they are very common.

1. Information oversaturation - a 2-page summary is already a bit too much, 3 is simply not permissible. Ideally, fit into 1 page. A resume is not an autobiography, it is not worth describing a life path, especially in detail. Your knowledge, skills, key moments in your work experience - this is what is really important.
2. Lack of information. Capacious, but informative - this is the motto of any information in the resume.
3. Photo selected unsuccessfully. Your task is to introduce yourself as a professional. Because the photo, for example, taken from the chronicle of a restaurant party, of course, will not work. Of course, your appearance in the photo should correspond to the image of a successful hairdresser.
4. Extra data. Your hobbies, interests, complete family at this moment are not important for the employer.
5. Grammatical errors. Destroy even the ideal resume structure.
6. Description of professional experiencewhich is not related to the vacancy.
7. Inaccurate information. Make sure that the years of study and years of work are indicated correctly, the names of companies and competitions should also be indicated correctly.
