How to indicate education in the resume?

The column “Education” is no less important information than information about personal and professional qualities and places of previous work. To hide this data does not make sense. Indeed, by default, the employer, not finding information about the special program of your training, will consider that after school you went to the factory or worked as a courier - in general, you performed an unremarkable work.

Depending on how education was received under the university program, in addition to higher (completed), the following varieties are distinguished.

1. Specialized secondary - The student studied at a college or college.
2. Incomplete higher education - interrupted early education, according to the results of which an appropriate certificate is issued. The reasons for the status of incomplete higher education are the following reasons: leaving for the army, interruption of training for health reasons (academic leave for a year), deduction for poor progress (not passed the tests, exams), and not passed the final certification (unsatisfactory state exams).
3. Incomplete higher - a certificate is issued when a promising student got a job in one of the companies, the work in which will improve his current university program, and also promises him an early and significant career advancement. In this case, the employer requests an appropriate certificate. At the same time, the student continues to study, but switches to a special, reduced mode of work and / or changes the form of training from full-time to evening or correspondence.

If the student studied well, which was confirmed by faultlessly passed sessions and practice, instead of the usual diploma, he is awarded red (with honors). In this case, there should not be triples of term papers / projects and the results of exams. At least three quarters of the total number of ratings are exclusively five.

Yesterday's student can receive a special education by enrolling in graduate school, graduate school, doctoral studies. Deepening and expanding the educational program is rather voluntary. For example, a student does not want to be a simple specialist, of which there are millions in the country. He is already attracted to the field of scientific activity. He wants to leave behind some kind of trace in history, really making the world something better, and not just living the life of a simple worker. He wants to be on the cutting edge of progress in the field of activity that he has chosen. Often he associates with her the rest of his life.

The highest award for the successful completion of all stages and tests is a degree: level of candidate, doctor of sciences, professor - right up to academician. Now the specialist himself publishes scientific articles, methodological manuals, prepares a worthy shift for young scientists and specialists.

Consider an example. If you have received a higher education as a radio engineer, then, say, information about the completion of courses on repair and maintenance of smartphones and tablets with Android, as well as on courses on topics about increasing sales and increasing the effectiveness of advertising.

But do not indicate that you, say, have taken sewing and sewing courses - even if this is your hobbythat you occupied yourself in your free time. The employer considers this aspect as a circumstance that may interfere with work. It may not allow you to get a job as an engineer of base stations of cellular networks.

Training - help to your postgraduate program that you have mastered or continue to master. The same radio specialist is useful, for example, to take an advanced English course for engineers (pass technical English). He will not interfere with courses in coaching, display advertising, website promotion and promotion. Such trainings, in turn, contribute to the promotion of this specialist in the labor market.

Another example: it is useful for a specialist in computer science and management, information systems to take advanced courses of a web programmer or layout designer. Even without finding the main job in any company, they work pretty well, for example, in layout and website promotion - they execute large orders informally and for different customers that are not dependent on each other.

To get the desired job, vacancy, correctly indicate your education data. Whether it will be primary or additional is not important, but it should coincide with the subject of the desired position. Additional continuing education courses are not indicated before basic education information. Be sure to indicate the type and type of course (language, computer). The essence of the training program is also clearly stated: if these are programming courses, indicate the programming languages ​​that you have mastered.
