Today, photography specialists are in demand in advertising agencies, marketing departments of trading and manufacturing companies, the beauty industry, real estate agencies, media services or companies providing event services. In search of a vacancy, the applicant draws up a resume reflecting his skills and experience.

Structure

When applying for a vacancy, it is necessary to bring to the attention of the employer data containing not only key professional skills, but also briefly tell about yourself.

The summary should contain points:

  • F. I. O. and your age;
  • address of residence;
  • phone number, email address;
  • the purpose of sending a resume indicating the position, level of salary and work schedule;
  • basic and additional education;
  • achievements and skills;
  • work experience and responsibilities;
  • additional information about yourself, indicating marital status, availability of children, readiness for business trips and moving, hobbies, availability of a car and other data of interest to the employer.

In the resume, it is desirable to add your photo and a link to the portfolio.

Covering letter

To interest the employer, the resume is supplemented by a cover letter addressed to the personnel officer or company manager. Such a letter begins with a greeting and appeal, for example: "Hello, Ivan Ivanovich." Then, interest in the vacancy is presented and reported. You can justify the choice of a company for employment that you are aware of its growth and stability.

Then they briefly talk about themselves with an emphasis on experience and knowledge, as well as character traits that are important in this area. For example, stress resistance, the desire to improve, the desire for high quality work.The letter indicates information about participation in competitions, the ability to master modern equipment and knowledge of computer programs.

In the final part, we are obliged to thank you for reading the letter and express your willingness to answer questions of interest to the employer. For example: “Thank you for your attention to my candidacy and I hope for the opportunity to be interviewed at your company. If you have any questions, I am ready to answer them at any time convenient for you. ” In conclusion, indicate that along with this letter you send your CV and letters of recommendation (if any) from clients or former employers for consideration. Mistakes

In order to look professional in the eyes of the employer while drafting this document, avoid common mistakes.

  • Excessive amount of information. An ideal resume takes no more than 1 sheet of A4 format. If the document is too large, it is possible that they will not read it until the end.
  • Errors in the text. Before sending, the document is formatted and checked for literacy. Inattention indirectly suggests that the author of the resume also applies to work.
  • Extra information. The resume indicates only the work experience associated with the vacancy, other facts are not included in the document.
  • Lack of information. They write extensively about their strengths, avoiding the monosyllabic narrative, consisting of 2-3 words.
  • Portfolio links are not active. Before submitting a resume, check how relevant the links are.
  • Applicant photo. For resume use only a photo made in a business style.
