Fitness trainer is a profession in demand today.   • Education. Where did you study for a fitness trainer (courses, school, higher education institution), be sure to indicate the profile education. Due to the specifics of the profession, it is not the main one for most applicants. But the first thing on the list is not the university you graduated from (in 90% of cases in another specialty), but the courses that made you a coach.
  • Additional education. In this paragraph, indicate what may not directly relate to the position. For example, at the moment you are getting a psychologist education. To declare the level of the desired salary in the resume is not always appropriate. Do this only if you are in the status of a free agent and plan to organize a competition among potential employers yourself. If you send a resume to a specific company, the financial issue will be negotiated after you are invited to work (or at least for an interview).

What should not be written?

There are paragraphs and comments that discredit any resume. They must be avoided.

Do not write about:

  • bad work experience;
  • reasons for dismissal from a previous place of work if they suggest negative information about the previous employer (even if he really deserves unfriendly reviews);
  • lack of experience;
  • all previous places of work not related to the position of a fitness trainer;
  • “Frightening” personal qualities (write “fair”, not “truth-teller”, “attentive”, and not “curious”, “demanding”, and not “principled”).

The summary should not be bragging, snobbery, embellished information. The employer should not have the feeling that this applicant is “a lot”, how persistent and even annoying he is.
