Hooponopono - the so-called method of meditation, which originated in antiquity among Hawaiian shamans. It is intended to increase the level of harmonization that changes life for the better, for self-cleaning and clarification of situations in relations with the outside world. Translated into Russian, “hooponopono” means “correct a mistake”, “make everything right”. Famous for a wide audience this meditation was done by the psychotherapist Ihaliakala Hugh Lin and writer Joe Vitale. Doctors Lina in every detail of the Hooponopono was dedicated to the Hawaiian shaman Morrna Nalamaku Simeona, and Joe Vitale wrote a book about this called Life Without Limits.

How does this happen using the Hooponopono method? A person is invited to plunge into his inner world and begin to work with four simple affirmations:

  • “I repent” (or “I am very sorry”, “I am sorry”);
  • "Please forgive me";
  • "I thank you";
  • "I love you".

First of all, Hooponopono suggests turning your mind to the realization that you are the whole world. Therefore, all the people who live on Earth are you too, and everything that happens in the world is you too. You are responsible for your life and what is happening in it, as well as for everything and for everyone around. Realizing this responsibility, you must accept it and sincerely repent of bad thoughts, actions, deeds. For this, the phrases “I repent”, “I am sorry”, “I am very sorry” serve. They purify consciousness and the subconscious through repentance, through a sincere understanding that you behaved incorrectly, and this ultimately led to problems.

Sincerely repenting, it is necessary to go to forgiveness. You must forgive, and you yourself must forgive. The phrase “forgive me, please” will help relieve the oppressive burden of guilt. At the same time, it is important to stop blaming someone or something for their problems. Remember your personal responsibility for everything. And if someone offended you, humiliated, caused pain and suffering, forgive this person in your mind, let go of resentment and anger, reconcile with the offender in your thoughts.

Next, go to gratitude. Thank everyone and for everything. Life is for what you have. His body - because it allows you to abide in this world. Your health is for strength and energy. His home - for giving you shelter. His work is for the opportunity to be in abundance. To your family and friends - because they are near you, love and give their time and attention, support and help. People tend to notice more bad and weaknesses, criticize and judge, and this creates more and more problems and negativity. The phrase “I thank you” makes it clear that you accept everything as it is.

And the logical completion of the phased work over the purification of consciousness and subconscious from negative programs, locks and attitudes is the phrase "I love you." Everything bad that you feel for yourself, for other people, for different situations, will set you free thanks to love.

These affirmations contain the most powerful force and energy, especially in the phrases “I love you” and “I thank you” - they are a kind of beginning of all principles and, of course, the Universe will certainly hear and reciprocate.

Execution technique

If you want to start practicing this method of purifying consciousness from negative and living from problems, then the first thing to do is to truly believe in its effectiveness. Then tune in, set aside time and get started. It will take you 20-30 minutes to retire and conduct a meditation session.At this time, turn off and set aside everything that can distract your attention and reduce your mood (phones, tablets, laptops, computers, televisions, watches, etc.). Eliminate any noise, for example, close the door and window. The only thing you can turn on is quiet relaxing music or the sounds of nature.

  1. Take a comfortable position, sit in a position so that you can stay in it throughout the session. Having straightened your back and closed your eyes, calmly inhale with your nose and also exhale with your mouth. Set your breath so that it works for good with you. You should feel comfortable and relaxed. Consciousness should be cleansed of unnecessary thoughts and be ready for purposeful work with affirmations.
  2. Imagine the object to which you want to direct your words. It may be you yourself or some person with whom you would like to resolve internal contradictions, get rid of resentment against him, or ask for forgiveness for the insults inflicted on him. Or you can imagine a situation or problem that is bothering you.
  3. After the image is mentally formed, start a conversation with him through these affirmations. Try to direct all your energy through them to this object. Repeat phrases continuously throughout the meditation time.

Each individual meditation session should be focused on one problem. For example, if you think that some troubles have arisen in your life because of complexes, dislike for yourself and your body, if you want to work out relationships with yourself, then devote all the time allotted to an internal conversation aimed at fixing this problem. Imagine your body in your mind and say to him: “I repent that I treated you badly. I'm sorry I did not love you. I am very sorry that I offended (a) and insulted (a) you. I apologize to you. Please forgive me. I am very grateful to you for being there, for giving me the opportunity to live, for working tirelessly. Thank you. I very love you. I love you the way you are. ” Repeat this monologue for 20-30 minutes. Thus, one can mentally speak with any problem and person.

End the session by inhaling and exhaling deeply several times, then open your eyes and return to reality.

The deeper you plunge into your consciousness, the more you manage to relax, the more you can concentrate on the object, the better the result.

For those who have recently begun to master this technique or are just about to begin, It’s important to know that not everything can happen right away. The main thing is to believe and not back down. Each new session will turn out to be carried out more qualitatively and more efficiently.

If you suddenly feel pain and suffering from a situation in your head, if tears flood, do not stop this natural impulse. Let everything that has accumulated in you come out through these emotions. This is the process of purification and renewal, the replacement of negative with positive. And it is important to exclude feelings of sadness, longing, despair and aggression during the session. Not only will they not allow affirmations to work for purification, but, on the contrary, they will harm, immerse you even more in a negative state. It is not necessary to repeat affirmations in the exact order that we have described. It is important that each of them be allocated at least 3-5 minutes of the total meditation time.
