Ideas for creating a manicure with hieroglyphs

What modern designers and women of fashion will not come up with, trying to stand out and prove themselves. Moreover, they increasingly turn to the eastern countries with their unusual and mysterious culture. When forming an image in an oriental style, manicure also cannot be ignored, and sometimes it is possible to harmoniously fit it into everyday style. The hieroglyphics on the nails for this will come in handy - you can find among them as simple as possible or those that tell the world about your mood, thoughts or dreams.

Design

You can make such a manicure yourself or with a master - it all depends on the complexity of the idea. All that is required is a thin brush or needle, a varnish for the background, a contrasting varnish for the picture and a transparent fixing coating. If necessary, you can also apply a base for manicure and give preference to gel polish - it lasts much longer than usual.

If you don’t feel like wasting time on a salon, but you don’t get a complicated picture or nothing, you can use special stickers. In the absence of the necessary in stores, you can also purchase special adhesive paper for the printer and print the necessary drawing. After printing, it will need to be cut, glued to the nails and be sure to cover with a transparent fastener on top. Otherwise, the stickers will quickly move away from the base varnish and be lost.

A manicure is, of course, not a tattoo, but walking for several weeks with an erroneous inscription is not a good option. Therefore, be sure to check the meaning of the inscription that you want to do in the reference book or at a specialist in oriental studies. Even the use of ready-made stickers or pictures for printing does not guarantee that their manufacturers were not mistaken in writing.

The main hieroglyphic systems that are suitable for manicure design are Chinese, Egyptian and Maya. There are also two Japanese syllable alphabets that are familiar to all fans of anime and Japanese films, but some people only unknowingly call them hieroglyphs. In fact, in Japan and Korea they also use hieroglyphs, but these are the same Chinese, and the rest is their own alphabets.

Types of hieroglyphs

Chinese

Chinese characters are perhaps the most popular written characters of this kind. For any souvenir production, design, single characters are most often chosen, which mean concepts such as love, luck, wealth, health, etc. But if you wish, you can make whole sentences or separate words by placing each character on a separate finger. To do this, just understand the simple rules of the grammar of the Chinese language or ask a specialist to translate.

An interesting option would be to choose several hieroglyphs-charms at once or add stylized drawings. For example, it can be a Chinese dragon, a panda, a black and white symbol of Yin-Yang Taoism. Traditional flowers that can also be used are lotus, peony, sakura, red poppy. Of the shades it is best to choose gold, red, black and green.

Japanese

As we already said, this is usually called either all the same Chinese characters, or syllabic alphabets. Unlike hieroglyphs, alphabets have fewer features, so it’s easier to put on nails, but few of them with a single sign indicate a whole word. Therefore, such a manicure will have to be carefully thought out and, possibly, broken into several nails.

In this case, nails can be decorated with sakura, irises, mountain maple or contour landscapes in the form of mountains and moonlit nights. And the red circle on a white background will become an image of not just the flag of Japan, but a solar disk in the sky. You can also use special polymer miniatures, which are sold in specialized stores. Such miniatures in the form of sushi or other Japanese attributes are also well suited.

Japanese characters are also not so difficult to make. You can verify this by watching the video.

Egyptian

The hieroglyphics of the ancient Egyptians are well known to everyone. Many at least once went to sunbathe on the beach, swim in the sea or ride through the desert in the country of the pyramids. And there, these badges can be found not only on monuments, but also in souvenir shops. But do not trust the explanations of the meaning from local merchants or bookmarks with the "alphabet" that they sell. Check at least Wikipedia for a detailed list of all the main characters with examples of words in which they were used.

Egyptian hieroglyphs are very colorful, many of them look like a pattern or drawing. They are often very simple, so they are easy to draw on your own. You can also mix signs with images of gods, sacred animals or original ornaments of Ancient Egypt. Especially suitable would be to use the traditional colors of the Egyptians - yellow, gold, saturated blue, purple, red, dark green, brown.

Mayan

This writing is even more like pictures than the Egyptian hieroglyphs, so it was not considered writing at first. Now it is deciphered, so there is no problem with the selection of suitable characters and the translation of their meaning into Russian. Mayan hieroglyphs are much less known in the vastness of our country than the Egyptian and Chinese, and differ in their original style. But it is precisely due to the latter that they attract the attention of those who are even a little familiar with the history of America.

At first you might think that among the Mayan characters there is nothing aesthetic and suitable for wearing such a pattern all day long. However, if you delve deeper into the topic, you can find not only the specific faces of gods and terrible creatures, but also cute patterns that form some hieroglyphs. There are quite simple ones that can be drawn with a thin brush or a needle, there are very complex ones - you can print them in the form of stickers if you wish.

They can also be purchased in Latin America or ordered in the online store. The traditional colors for such a manicure are black, ocher, light brown, dark brown, white, yellow, gray-blue. Matte shades are used more often and sometimes they add gold. This color is best suited to the Mayan culture.
