French manicure with a signature “smile” is a recognized classic. Moreover, he never loses its relevance, as it perfectly "adapts" to the requirements of modern trends in nail art. A vivid confirmation of this is the French ombre manicure, which is a unique combination of classic and ultra-modern direction in nail design.

Features

The ombre technique, also called gradient or degrade, appeared only a few years ago, but quickly gained popularity among modern women of fashion of any age. The main feature of the manicure made in this technique is the presence of smooth color transitions. Initially, this term meant a manicure with a change in the color saturation from nail to nail - each subsequent one was darker than the previous one. Today, this is also called nail design, in which the gradient is used inside one nail.

You can decorate a manicure in this technique as the most ordinary varnish coatings., and gel-varnish, additionally decorating it with sequins, rhinestones, stamping. As for the combination of nail design in the French style with a gradient, the latter can be applied in the form of familiar stripes, or it can complement the already drawn jacket on the nails, adding to it the effect. At the same time, the French degradation will also differ in less strict borders between colors than in the classic French.

Manicure performed in this way looks unusually beautiful, neat and stylish.

Which nails are suitable?

Like the classic French design, a french jacket with a gradient can be applied to the nails, regardless of their length.However, the middle nails are considered the most suitable for such a manicure. It is on them that he looks particularly elegant. By the way, this version of the nail design is universal, as it is equally suitable for very young girls and a serious mature business woman. In addition, choosing the right color can complement the wedding dress, evening silk dress, and summer beach bow.

Color schemes

The usual and familiar jacket is a combination of two colors. One of them is the basis, the second is applied only to the tips of the nails. You can use any colors for this design. The stronger the contrast between them, the more spectacular the manicure will look. French in gradient style, on the contrary, suggests using different shades of the same color scheme, since it is in this case that you can achieve a smooth color transition. Most often, for this version of nail art use pastel colors, which are considered universal.

Design rules do not limit the choice to these colors at all., if desired, you can use any other - from the lightest and warmest, to the most cold and dark. At the same time, it is permissible to arrange colors not only horizontally, but also in a vertical position.

If the gradient is planned to be applied only to the tip of the nail (the one that in the classic design is painted white), then a wide selection of colors and shades is also possible. The main condition is that they harmonize with each other.

How to make?

There are several options for decorating your nails with a trendy and beautiful degrade style nail art.

Simple option

So, to make a classic gradient French manicure, will be required:

  • colorless base;
  • a piece of foam;
  • varnishes.

Two coatings are required. One is a skin tone for the main tone, the second is white or any other color as desired, to highlight the tip of the nail. First of all, the base coat is applied to the nail plate, it is well dried. The primary color is also applied and dried.

Then a second varnish is applied to the foam in a bold strip. In order for it to lie as evenly as possible, the sponge should have a fine-grained structure, but not be very dense. Those that are used for household needs will not work because of too large cells that will greatly absorb varnish. Cosmetic sponges, on the contrary, are very dense and will not allow the coloring composition to soak up, so they are also undesirable to use.

It is worth picking up something in between, for example, a piece of regular foam packaging.

The nail plate is coated with blotting movements., slightly touching the sponge in those places where the color should be barely noticeable, and pressing it more tightly where a more saturated shade is required. The biggest problem when applying this nail art is the removal of varnish from the cuticle. So that it does not get so dirty, you can stick tape around the nail plate before starting the procedure, and after everything dries, carefully remove it. If no protective agents are used, then remove the varnish that has got on the skin, it is necessary immediately after staining the nails.

Bicolor

This design, as a rule, involves the use of two coatings of the same color scheme. In addition, to create nail art you will need:

  • base (instead of it, it is allowed to use a lighter varnish from the selected);
  • fixing composition;
  • a piece of foam;
  • foil sheet.

Having prepared the nails, they are covered with a base. To make the manicure brighter, the main varnish is applied in several layers. Then, the selected varnishes are distributed on the foil in the order in which they want to see them on the nails. Experts advise applying a darker tone closer to the base - then the nails will visually appear longer.

Foam rubber is applied first to the foil, and then they lightly touch the nail with it.The more approaches, the more intense the color will be (triple application is considered optimal).

At the same time, it is impossible to press hard on the sponge or sponge so that fingerprints of their cells do not remain on the nail plates. It is recommended to update the foam rubber varnish after each nail so that it is equally bright on all nails.

With colorful tip

Another way to decorate the nails in an original way is to use two different colors on the tip to design. To create it, prepare:

  • base coverage;
  • cliches for a french;
  • palette and foam;
  • varnishes (depending on color preferences).

After applying the base on the nails, carefully glue the stencils for French. To achieve the desired color transition effect, the selected varnishes are first applied to the palette, where they erase the border between them with a toothpick or a fine brush. But without this procedure, it is quite possible to do and apply the coloring compounds immediately to the foam. To do this, with both varnishes draw strips on the sponge, placing them very close.

To transfer the varnishes to the tip of the nail, the sponge is positioned so that the colors fall vertically. Staining is performed with a light rolling motion, trying not to go beyond the boundaries of the stencil so as not to spoil the manicure. For greater brightness and color saturation, the procedure is repeated, after which the stencil is carefully removed with tweezers, and the nails are covered with a top.

For greater originality and brightness of the manicure on each nail, you can use combinations of different colors.

Other Gradient Options

You can also create an exquisite jacket using the ombre technique using an airbrush. This device allows not only to evenly spray paint, but also to control the density of spraying - the closer the nozzle of the airbrush to the nail, the more saturated the color. Thanks to the use of such equipment, the manicure is smooth, with neat transitions.
