Gothic manicure design

For many, Gothic and everything associated with it is associated with gloom and depression. Nevertheless, the Gothic style of clothing and makeup has long ceased to be the "property" of the adherents of the subculture and has gained popularity among wider circles of youth. Modern nail designers who turned gothic manicure into real art did not stand aside, which added to it attractiveness among amateurs to emphasize their individuality.

Gothic are pointed forms, saturated dark tones, stained-glass windows, various ornaments and prints. All this is reflected, including in manicure. The acute form can be used both in print and in the form of nails. The most suitable for nail design in the Gothic style are long, extended pointed nails. However, you can arrange in this style direction and medium-length manicure, and even short nails. In this case, the tips of the nail plates can be pointed, oval and square-angled. As for the age category, this is more suitable for young people.

First of all, speaking of the Goths, black color comes to mind. And he, of course, is the main in the design of manicure in the Gothic style, but not the only one. To create a nail art in this direction, color solutions such as:

• blood red;
• ash gray;
• saturated burgundy;
• tin color;

• dark brown;
• white;
• metallic.

Manicure in this style is very diverse.Proof of this can be several examples of the design of nails, which will appeal to the goths and connoisseurs of originality.

This design is equally suitable for natural and artificial nails and performed according to the following algorithm:

• gloss is removed from the nail plates;
• special forms (templates) for stylet are attached to the nails and their tips are carefully glued;
• the nail surface is primed with the help of ultrabond, after which the nails are thoroughly dried;
• a transparent gel is applied with a thin layer for building, extending the nail to the required length in shape; when the composition gets on the skin of the hands, it is immediately carefully removed, the gel should be applied with rubbing brush movements;
• after applying the gel coating, the nails are dried under a UV lamp for 2-3 minutes;

• having fixed the gel layer in ultraviolet, the form is carefully disconnected from it with the help of an orange stick;
• a natural camouflage is covered with dark camouflage, slightly lengthening the contour, so that later a beautiful jacket is obtained; camouflage gel is applied in a thin layer and fixed under the lamp (3 min.);
• another layer of camouflage is applied along the same contour, which is already more thorough than the previous one, but for this purpose they are no longer using pure camouflage gel, but diluted with a transparent composition; after that, the nails are again placed in the lamp (3 minutes);
• remove the sticky layer from the nail;
• with the help of a milling cutter, the contour of a smile is cut out and finalized with a nail file 80x80 cm;

• transparent tips are coated with a colorless gel; it should be applied in a very thin layer;
• tint the smile line in black and dry again (no more than 1 min.);
• pressing red foil on all sides of the free edge of each nail, make prints and again dry for several minutes;
• pigmented stained glass dye and hexagonal spangles are mixed and the free edge is smeared with the resulting composition; dried for 2 minutes;
• transparent gel completely cover the design and place nails under the lamp for 30 seconds;

• clamp the nails with a special clamp to tighten them, give them the desired shape, and then dry in the lamp for another 2 minutes;
• filing is performed first on the sides, then in the cuticle area; the stylet nose is cut down, and the ribs are rounded, after which the lower parallels are cut;
• having removed the cut, the nail plates are covered with top and dried again for 2 minutes under the lamp.

It is quite possible to create an interesting Gothic design on natural nails without resorting to their artificial lengthening. To do this, do the following:

• a base coat is applied to the nail plates; its application allows to improve the quality of manicure and extend its service life;
• nails are covered with translucent pastel shade;
• the drawing in this case can be applied using the stamping technique - for this, a special varnish is applied to the plate with the template, carefully filling all the contours, after which a special stamp is applied to the template, with which the drawing is transferred to the nail plates; so as not to stain the cuticle, it must be sealed with special strips;
• remove these strips after the print is applied to the nail;
• the finished drawing is covered with a transparent top.

This is another design option that will suit Gothic fans. Its creation consists of the following sequential actions:

• degreasing of the nail plates;
• applying the base and drying under the lamp;
• the design of the tip of the nail with red gel paint (as with a regular jacket), fixing in a lamp;
• top coating - this step is necessary so that the foil, which will be used later, does not print on a red background; fixing the top in the lamp;
• drawing a picture in black gel paint; the simplest print is a circle with curls (here you can give free rein to imagination) and another drying;

• printing foil in the figure;
• mixing sculptural gel, black paint and liquid stones, what should be done on the palette;
• applying the resulting composition to the nail plate; to simulate veins on a stone, you can dip a thin brush in white paint and draw it on a gel that has not yet dried;
• top coating and final drying.
