The gyro scooter does not charge: what is the reason and what to do?

After a winter or a long period of inactivity during the season, the Mini Segway may have a problem charging the battery. If the gyroboard cannot be turned on, it is worth considering in more detail the possible causes of the breakdown.

The charging lamp may light green or blink yellow. As a rule, the main signals of indicators and their values ​​are indicated in the user manual. But the mini-segway can be purchased in a used state, and the instruction itself could easily be lost among other papers. Repairing a breakdown usually requires a quick response from the user.

The reasons for the breakdown of the hovercraft after the winter are not very diverse. Most often, the problem is exclusively related to the complete discharge of the battery. In this case, it is enough to connect the memory to the network and wait for the replenishment of the energy level. But these measures are not always enough, which means that it is worth considering in more detail all the possible causes of malfunctions.

When the gyro scooter does not charge when connected to the network, there can be 3 reasons for this.

1. Battery wear. Each battery is designed for a certain number of charge and discharge cycles. As its resources are depleted, the rate of energy expenditure increases. The device can turn off spontaneously even at a fairly high charge level. In addition, an incomplete charge may become a sign of a problem - the indicator still does not reach 100%.
2. Charger malfunction. In this case, even when the equipment is connected to the memory, the indicator on the device’s case will not light up.
3. Open circuit. If the integrity of the wiring is violated, the contacts are removed, a circuit has occurred, the gyro scooter should be sent for repair. Specialists diagnose the exact localization of faults and propose optimal solutions to the problem. The same applies to situations where a mini-segway without moisture protection gets into a puddle or rain, and its contacts are exposed to water.

Such an indicator indicates that the power supply is in good condition. The absence of a signal when connected to the network indicates that the reasons why charging does not occur are connected with the device itself. Most likely, it will have to be replaced. The same applies to cases where the light on the charger is constantly flashing. This fact indicates a bad contact in the electrical circuit, which can damage the battery when charging.

At the same time, there is also a light indication on the mini-segway itself. When a device discharged after riding is connected to the network, a red signal should light up on its body. When the charge is replenished, the indicator turns green - this indicates that the device can be used again.

Light indication in gyro scooters plays the role of the main source of information about the state of the device along with special applications for mobile devices. If the control panel emits an audible signal during riding, and a red beacon starts flashing on it, this means that the charge level has dropped below 10%.

If the indicator is yellow when riding, the battery is discharged to 60% or less. This is a warning signal that allows you to prepare for the possible completion of riding. In addition, a flashing red light indicates an invalid slope. The blinking of the control system light is used to diagnose malfunctions in the device:

• one-time - indicates a lack of contact with the board at the battery or controller;
• double - talks about failures that occurred during current control;

In order for the gyro scooter to be ready for use after winter, it is imperative to take care of its proper storage. The procedure will be as follows:

• the equipment is fully charged (100%);
• mini-Segway is used for riding for about 1 hour (you need to reduce the charge level to 50%);
• the platform is disconnected from the power source, sent to the parking lot;
• batteries are stored separately.

After the cold season, the gyro scooter is enough to assemble and turn on. Models with increased moisture protection are also suitable for use in the cold season - you can ride them at a temperature of about 0 degrees.

As a rule, with a gradual consumption of the battery, the battery capacity gradually decreases. The standard battery is designed for 500-800 cycles of connecting to the network. Of course, if charging rules are violated, quick wear occurs. Low-quality or low-capacity batteries can also have a reduced life.

If the battery does not charge to the end, and the indicator remains red even after 3 hours after connecting to the network, while the battery itself lasts for only 15 minutes of operation of the hoverboard, then there can only be one solution: battery replacement. When the gyro scooter is not charging, independent attempts to repair it are usually the first of all measures taken by the owner to fix the problem. But in practice, without the help of service center employees, you can only manage to purchase a new charger or replace the battery. If we are talking about certified, proprietary equipment, it is recommended to purchase components in specialized stores, as cheap analogues can cause a fire or a short circuit in the battery compartment.

The problem with recharging the battery in a gyroscope arises from many owners. To encounter it less often, it is enough to follow simple preventive measures:

• Do not violate the recharge time recommended by the manufacturer (up to 3 hours);
• store charger wires without twists and kinks;
• exclude a drop in charge to a level below 10%;
• exclude incomplete charging;
• eliminate shock loads on the deck and the bottom of the device, if possible;
• if a malfunction is detected, immediately turn off the device, stop its operation.
