The owners of gyro scooters often wonder what to do if the vehicle beeps and the red light is on (lit). This problem is faced by many people, and the reason is not the discharge of the battery, although this can happen if the user is new. A red light blinks on the gyrocycle

Often there are times when the power button responds to pressing, but the gyro does not go. It is not worth panicking in such a situation, since it is likely that everything is fine.

Look at the lights:

  • the first transfers the state of the hoverboard;
  • the second shows the battery charge.

If the charge drops below the established norm, the battery indicator constantly lights up in red. There is still a minimal charge, but electronic equipment will block the movement in order to prevent a complete discharge.

If a red indication appears, simply charge the battery.

With the status indicator, everything is not so simple. As with any technique, there are error codes in the electronic equipment of gyro scooters.

Before doing anything, reset the settings to factory defaults.

If the blink remains, count how many times and recognize the error.

  • One blink - problems with wiring. Check that the wires are connected securely by disconnecting and reconnecting them one at a time.
  • 2 blinks - malfunctions in the electrical circuit.

  • 4 blinks - failure of the wheel or the position sensor on the side of the system board.
  • 5 flashes - problems with the wheel or the position sensor on the battery side.
  • 6 blinks - The battery is empty or needs to be replaced.
  • 7 flashes - breakdown of the sensor, gyroscopic control module or auxiliary board from the battery side. May need a replacement.
  • 8 blinks - a problem with one of the balancing boards.
  • 9 flashes - the false spatial location of the sensors (the scooter may have been turned upside down).

Why does the gyrocycle pick and what to do?

There is no common reason why the device beeps and does not move. In most cases, users are faced with the fact that their hoverboard is, in fact, a low-quality copy. Naturally, it uses low-power sensors, useless wiring and cheap manufacturing materials, so you don’t need to be surprised at an early breakdown. A completely different calico, when the device worked without complications for a long time, and then suddenly failed. The squeak of the gyroscope occurs during the ride, when it is on a charge or simply when turned on. There are usually several reasons for this:

  • the impact of the body on a hard surface and, as a result, damage to the "insides";

  • moisture on the boards;
  • exceeding the permissible speed limit;
  • weak battery;
  • overload when climbing a slope greater than 15 °.

In this regard, you must carefully handle it and prevent, for example, falling to the ground or swooping on the curbs. Collision with an obstacle can lead to breakdown of one of the device boards.

Very often dirt, dust or moisture gets inside the gyrocycle. As a rule, this can cause a short circuit, which can lead to the failure of any component. If during movement water gets into the battery, the gyroscope can even catch fire. Although it should be noted that this happens quite rarely, since the manufacturers of these devices worry about consumer protection. However, they recommend, after completing the use of gyrocycles, to carefully inspect them for the presence of dirt and moisture and wipe them so that there are no unforeseen moments, for example, during the charging process.

Often, malfunctions appear due to the fact that the owners of the devices try to make repairs on their own. Some of the users, noticing a trip problem, stop and begin to repair. And to find out why the gyrocycle stopped functioning, they try to dismantle the device cover located in its upper part. Such actions can cause a short circuit in the motherboard, as a result of which TIP127 transistors can burn out (there are 2 of them). Despite the failure of one of these 2 elements located on the main board with a microcontroller, the gyro scooter will stop functioning.

Another reason for the failure of the gyrocycle is user desire to replace the Bluetooth module on their own, without the help of professionals. At the same time, someone forgets to turn off the battery, which leads to a short circuit. The gyro scooter in some episodes may continue to work for some time without fail, and the user is not able to detect a problem that has appeared.
