Although this alloy warms up more slowly than acrylic, it retains heat much better and longer. But still we must remember the significant load on the base. This circumstance is especially significant in apartment buildings, where the pressure on the floors is strictly standardized.

In addition, cast iron is poorly molded, and it is difficult to give it any unusual configuration. Much better with steel. It is also lighter than cast iron and is better suited for bulk pallets. However, when you hit the steel surface of the water stream, a loud noise is generated.

Be sure to measure the height of the ceiling. Those who do not do this often find that a new acquisition, especially with a pallet height of 0.4 m or more, simply does not fit in the room.
