Singer sewing machine has long been almost synonymous with household and industrial sewing machines in general. But despite the development of the design and the apparent simplicity in comparison with other mechanisms, using a Singer household machine is not so simple. It is necessary to find out the basic requirements for handling it so as not to run into problems.

When you have to change the presser foot, the main switch is in the off position. The parameters of the used threads and needles are selected according to the processed material. So, for thin crepe, silk and kapron needles and threads necessary for working with polyester will not work. Important: all needles must be released by Singer. Otherwise, the warranty is automatically void and the company declines responsibility for the result.
By adjusting the guide bar, you need to consider edges, folds, rims, lace and other complex elements. When inserting a needle, first make sure that its flat face looks “away” from the operator. The needle must be inserted strictly up to the stop.
Before using the automatic needle threader, the machine is turned off. Zigzag seams and decorative seams are made with less tension than with straight stitching.
Safety requirements

Singer sewing machines are for use only. in dry ventilated rooms with normal room temperature, with minimal dust and humidity. There should not be, of course, any caustic substances of any kind.
