Today, many people are in the process of finding a job, but not everyone is oriented toward work to their liking. Nevertheless, having determined your vocation and sorted out common stereotypes, it is quite possible to choose a vacancy that will bring not only money, but also pleasure. This, in turn, will have a beneficial effect on both psychological and physical health.

How to determine your calling?

Quite rarely, young people from a young age not only imagine what they would like to do, but also find support from others around them, as a result of which they immediately find work to their liking. In most cases, a person is already completing higher education, receiving some professional experience, starting a family, but still does not know what he really wants. However, in order to feel satisfaction from each working day, the activity must necessarily be comfortable, interesting and, in general, likeable. In order to easily and correctly choose a job, you should focus on three main parameters: what a person loves, what he does well and what you can get enough pay for in the market. At the intersection of these three areas is the dream occupation.

Simply put, to understand yourself, you should start by analyzing your hobbies and hobbies.

  • It’s better to take into account those classes that also work well, because you won’t earn much money on bare enthusiasm.
  • Next, you should consider whether you can use your own hobby to get a permanent income.If at the moment there are not enough skills for monetization, you need to think about which direction you should develop.
  • It may also happen that to make money, there is not enough only assistants, special materials or a workshop. In this case, the direction of further movement is also well traced.

I must say that the choice of occupation to your liking should not be limited to your own business. Quite often, an interesting and well-paid position hides in an existing company. In principle, you can choose a good job without experience and without education, but in most cases this is an exception to the rule. Firstly, without a “pen test” a person will not be able to understand if he likes the job or not, and secondly, the development and acquisition of knowledge is an important component of success in any profession.

I must add that when a person is approximately determined by what he would like to do, he is recommended to apply for an internship or go to school. Be sure to "try on" the vacancy for yourself before applying for a permanent job and devote most of his free time to it. Many experts recommend taking career counseling tests. They, in principle, help in a condition, but far from always guarantee a result. A conversation with a psychologist who, if he does not immediately voice the ideal profession, will at least push him in the right direction, may turn out to be much more effective.

It must be admitted that at present a sufficient number of new professions is appearing annually, therefore, the test for career guidance may not be able to give any answers, because the work of the soul of a particular person has yet to come up with independently.

By the way, at the stage of determining their favorite things, psychologists recommend recalling what a person liked to do in childhood and adolescence, analyze how he fills his free time, and think about what he would like to learn. You can go from the "nasty" - to find out what a person categorically would not want to do, and what he is not ready to waste his time. Interesting answers can be obtained by imagining a situation where there is no need to make money, and you can do just what you want. It is this business that may turn out to be a dream job.

Correct is also considered the approach in which a person focuses on what he could give to others. For example, even an ordinary housewife can start blogging with original cleaning tips, consult with young wives to free up space from trash.

What is stopping the search?

In fact, almost everyone could find a job to their liking, but many are disturbed by several rather commonplace and common reasons.

Stereotypes

Unfortunately, most stereotypes about work are created and imposed within the family. Of course, parents want to protect their children from further failures, but instead make them only worse. It is their phrases “Not everyone can find a job to their liking”, “Representatives of creative professions earn nothing”, “One must always choose a reliable profession - for example, an economist” will forever be fixed in children's minds that are still forming. When the child grows up, he often, without thinking, continues to repeat the program laid down, feeling only negativity and fatigue from everyday work.

Moreover, many parents take the right to decide what the child will become in the future, requiring him to continue the family dynasty or not bother with all sorts of stupid things and focus only on “serious” professions - doctor, lawyer, teacher.

Fear of low income

No less often, people refuse to do things they like because of fear of getting low wages. This aspect, by the way, also happens to be part of common stereotypes. In this case, it is important to remember that you can succeed in almost any job if you engage in work with sincere pleasure, constantly “pump yourself” and not get stuck in the comfort zone. In addition, experts recommend developing in related fields - this will allow us not to deviate from the chosen path, but to earn more. For example, a manicurist can additionally study the procedure for nail extension, start training others, open an online sale of supplies or conduct unusual workshops.

The next way to earn more is to upgrade your skills to receive more complex orders or expedite the execution of more available. Finally, A banal search for a place where a large sum of money can be earned for the implementation of the same functions can also help.

Insecurity and inaction

One of the main problems in finding a job is the lack of a clear goal. When the applicant himself does not understand what he would like to do and how to earn a living, it is unlikely that he will be able to find a suitable vacancy. Another common cause is fear of the new, resulting in uncertainty. A man is scared to change something in his life, and therefore he chooses to remain with stability instead of gaining what he wants. Self-doubt also manifests itself as the inability to adequately assess their skills. Low self-esteem and inability to present oneself leads to the fact that the candidate initially claims to be less prestigious or interesting.

Passivity, and hence inaction, always hinders getting a job where you would like to. It is extremely unlikely that the employer himself will look for a specific employee, and he will simply expect a successful case. But here the initiative and action in most cases lead to outstanding results.

Does age matter?

Despite the fact that finding a job for the older generation may be a bit complicated task, you can still achieve the desired results. For instance, at the age of 40, a person already accumulates enough experience, including everyday, in various fields, as well as a clear understanding is formed which activity really brings pleasure. Such an interesting and purposeful candidate, especially showing a desire to learn and develop, will surely find his employer. Moreover, at this age in families, as a rule, older children are present, which means that parents can begin to pay more attention to their hobby, and, in the future, monetize it.

I must say that even at 50 you can fulfill your dreams, as recently there are a variety of courses to improve or change qualifications specifically for representatives of pre-retirement age. A person who has been creating the same type of furniture all his life, but dreamed of realizing his ideas, has the opportunity to take a design course and either get a new place or even open his own business.

Why is it so important to do your thing?

    Despite the fact that people are engaged in an unloved affair for various reasons, according to psychology, the result of such a decision is always the same:

    • a person begins to feel dissatisfaction;
    • get tired quickly;
    • annoyed by the little things;
    • gradually lose the joy of life.

    Moreover, consequences such as insomnia, apathy, headaches, and even that depression, which cannot be cured independently, are possible. The advice of psychologists in this matter is unequivocal - you still need to look for a job, otherwise no wages, prestige and privileges will block the negative that arises from everyday engagement in an unloved affair. Thus, a correctly selected job is the key to both psychological and physical stability.

    If a person experiences an upsurge from what he is doing, then even fatigue will be pleasant, and the stressful episodes that occur will not be harmful to health.
