The desire for beauty is characteristic of every female person. It is noteworthy that the desire to be charming arises at a very young age. Since childhood, babies look at mom's cosmetics. Of course, bright and shiny jewelry, including lipsticks, shades and varnishes, are striking in the eyes first. With the advent of nail design, girls are paying attention to them.

If you can distract the babies with the help of toys, then the teenage girl insistently demands to make her nails “like my mother”. Parents of adolescents often ask themselves whether it is worth fulfilling their daughter’s request, at what age you can build up nails without fear of negative consequences.

The opinion of experts

If you ask several masters about how many years you can build nails, the answers will be different. But the experts are united in one thing: there is no single answer. Everyone grows up differently, which means that access to cosmetic procedures is available individually for each girl. However, under any circumstances up to 14 years of age, resorting to the correction of nails in the form of their extension should not be.

In adolescence, children's nails are soft and brittle. The palms still continue to grow, and with them the growth of the nail plates. Serious interference in this natural process is unacceptable.

It is also important that during puberty in girls, the hormonal background changes significantly. Due to its instability, there is a high probability of rejection of false nails from the "native". Overhead plates will not last long.

Another argument against the fashion procedure is that young people are not yet used to caring for their hands. In addition, sudden movements, including in physical education classes, inevitably lead to breakage and other flaws of beautiful overlays.

Taking into account all the negative consequences, specialists who are responsible for their work refuse too young people to lengthen the nail plates. The service is performed exclusively with the consent of the parents.

Fashionable procedure is not harmless

In most cases, building is done solely out of a desire to show off.

Meanwhile, the procedure was originally conceived as a practical operation that can hide:

  • roughness of the surface of the nails;
  • their stratification;
  • fragility and dullness;
  • unsightly form.

The method used to solve problems turned out to be so good that it quickly became fashionable. Today, jewelry at your fingertips can be seen in schoolgirls and students, middle-aged women and senior citizens.

Following fashion trends makes young people quickly become the owners of beautiful artificial nails. Few people think about the negative consequences of the procedure. And they are available. And more harm is done to not yet strong girl’s nails.

Violation of the natural surface layer of the nail can lead to a lot of troubles and even diseases. With deep cutting, the nail may not recover completely. Through the damaged structure, fungus and bacteria can enter it. It is not easy to get rid of fungal diseases. They are able to develop into a chronic form and remain for many years.

In addition, the unstable hormonal background of growing girls can play a bad joke with them. The body is unable to adequately respond to materials for nail extension. Often there are sharp allergic reactions to chemicals. Swelling, itching, burning or inflammation appears. Such manifestations as urticaria and atopic dermatitis are sometimes noted, eczema develops.

Drying of the applied gel occurs under the rays of an ultraviolet lamp. Not everyone will like this procedure. Local directed action of ultraviolet radiation is also capable of harming young people with a fragile hormonal background.

What is different from ordinary manicure

Before doing the build-up, the master performs the same operations as for a traditional manicure:

  • cleans nail plates;
  • removes cuticle;
  • trim the shape.

The listed actions are completely harmless. They help keep hands clean, make them beautiful. For artificial lengthening, a "bad" operation is performed. The smooth surface, which is a confirmation of health, is mercilessly cut away.

Roughness is required for better adhesion of the building material - gel or acrylic powder.

Hand Care for Girls

Some mothers, not focusing on trifles, themselves offer daughters to make beautiful jewelry. For some, the desire to do everything possible to make the daughter the most sophisticated in the classroom prevails. Others believe that this is the only way to wean a child from the habit of constantly biting growing nails. In both cases, mothers are wrong if the girls are not yet 16 years old.

From the buildup more harm than good. It does not matter who performs the procedure: a private trader or an experienced master of a solid interior. As a result, the quality of their native nails is significantly damaged.

Often, young mothers paint the nails of babies at preschool age. It seems to them that there is nothing wrong with that. However, varnishes contain harmful substances. For example, formaldehyde, which produces an unpleasant odor, is a toxic substance. Poison is another element that is part of varnishes - toluene.

Tender baby handles should not be in contact with toxic substances that can penetrate the body through the skin. Vapors of toxic substances enter the lungs by inhalation.They will not lead to death in small doses, and allergic reactions will cause very easily.

For very young people, children's cosmetics are intended. It includes water-based varnishes. They do not differ in resistance and are washed off by water. But there is no harm from such compounds.

Lacquers of the latest generation: 3-Free, 5-Free and similar do not contain harmful substances. They contain neither toluene with formaldehyde nor dibutyl phthalate. In some, harmful substances and even perfumes are completely absent. Let it not be the cheapest drugs, but harmless. If you really want to please your daughter with beautiful nails for a holiday, or “coloring” is required for performances, it is worth using varnishes with the prefix Free.

Age restrictions

It is hardly worth carrying out artificial lengthening at 13 years. Some people are of the opinion that building is already possible at age 14. Experienced specialists do not advise to carry out this procedure before 16 years.

In fact, age should not be considered a criterion with which you can experiment with your own body. Truly spectacular hands, decorated with extended nails, will look only on a fully formed figure.

At a transitional age, when a girl turns into a girl (usually from 12 to 16 years old), the proportions of individual parts of the body may not correspond to each other. At this time, the presence of coloring at your fingertips is more likely to cause ridicule than admiration. Moms should explain to their daughters that their desires are premature. It will take a little time, and a fashionable manicure will become available.

Extended nail care

Long nails require special attention. There are certain rules of conduct for those who build them. For example, doors should be opened carefully, put on clothes without haste, carefully unzip the zipper on your purse and shoes. Will have to give up ball games: volleyball, basketball, handball. And it’s better not to engage in other sports in order to avoid damage to fashion jewelry.

Moving teenagers have not yet mastered the art of controlling their own body. Only at the end of the formation of the feminine, and this happens in most cases by the age of 17, movements become smooth. Only then the time comes to show oneself in full glory. In the last grades of the school, girls gain experience in caring for themselves, and long nails will decorate their owners, and not interfere with them in everyday affairs.

Any, sometimes even insignificant, loads are reflected on the nails. Cracks, creases, bends appear. It's a shame when the artificial part breaks. And it’s very painful if together with a beautiful record “live” breaks and comes off. It will take more than one month to heal the injured area. You have to wait for your nail to grow back. You can forget about the former beauty at this time.

The procedure for nail extension is associated with certain risks.

What to choose: dare to have a procedure, do a traditional manicure or just use gel polish without building up - of course, it is up to the girl herself to decide. But parents are simply obliged to warn their daughter of all possible troubles.
