How to make ornaments on a beam using the kanzashi technique?

To make hair ornaments using the kanzashi technique, the craftswoman will need only golden hands and a supply of satin ribbons. You can start to master this type of needlework just with decorative elastic bands and bandages on a bunch.

The materials necessary to make an elegant gum on a beam using the kanzashi technique are determined depending on the particular master class. As a rule, we are talking about all kinds of ribbons, felt mugs and cabochons. For example, in order to make an elegant hair ornament with a bow in the classic black and white palette, in addition to the lace gum from 23 to 25 centimeters in length, you will have to use a duly cut satin fabric.

1. A craftswoman will need 48 square pieces of each color with sides of 5 centimeters, two black stripes with a width of 5 centimeters and a length of 9 centimeters, as well as white satin stripes: two with sides of 5 and 8 centimeters, four with sides of 5 and 10 centimeters.
2. Work will not be possible without 7 centers and cabochons, ideally black, and 7 felt round circles with a diameter of 3 centimeters.
3. Two pieces of white lace with sides of 2 and 9 centimeters, sparkling rhinestones and a thin ten-centimeter ribbon of white color are also useful.

To make a romantic hair clip for a gulka using the kanzashi technique, the craftswoman will only have to show assiduity and attentiveness, since the work will be painstaking. Such a hair ornament consists of three main parts:

• compositions of small flowers;
• bow;
• elastic gum.

To create flowers, you need satin ribbons of different colors, but with the same width equal to 2.5 centimeters. One flower will take 5 pieces of a white ribbon 3.5 centimeters long and 12 pieces of the same color, but already 4 centimeters long. A bright pink hue is represented by 14 fragments 4.5 cm long, and light green - 6 segments 4 cm long. Each bud will also require a two-centimeter round of felt and 4 double-sided white stamens.

The ribbons used for bows should already have a width of 5 centimeters. Two colors are used for decoration: pink (4 ten-centimeter and 2 nine-centimeter pieces) and white (2 nine-centimeter and 2 8.5 centimeters long). Before work, it is necessary to prepare 6 shiny half beads and one large rhinestone, a felt circle with a diameter of 3.5 centimeters, as well as a pink satin ribbon with a length of 10 centimeters and a width of 1.2 centimeters.

Of the tools required to work:

• scissors;
• glue;
• thread with a needle;
• lighter.

The process begins with creating buds. Pieces of green color are cut by a “dome” and carefully scorched from both edges. Then the lower edge of the workpiece bends towards the center in two places and is fixed with glue to obtain a beautiful concavity. For each flower, which will be 5 pieces, it is necessary to prepare 6 emerald leaves. The white petal blank is cut in a semicircle and scorched from below. The lower part is glued so that a rounded drop forms.

After completing the creation of five petals with a length of 3.5 centimeters, they must be connected together with glue, and each next should go to the previous one. Four centimeter petals are being laid aside. In the same way, pink blanks are created, and for each bud they will need 14 pieces. The stamens are bent in half and glued to the center of the five-petal part, after which it is rounded and pasted over with the remaining petals. Then pink petals and green leaves are uniformly glued on the same workpiece around the circumference.

Four ribbons for a pink bow in turn are bent in half and connected at the ends with glue to make a beautiful wave. A bow is assembled from the resulting elements. In the same way, a smaller bow is made up of two white pieces. The rest for the “tail” (2 white and 2 pink pieces) are joined by stacking one on top of the other. The fastening point is formed by a beautiful fold and a large rhinestone, and the lower part is decorated with half beads. Bows are glued to ribbons, and a thin pink ribbon is used to decorate the middle. At the back of the “bow” composition and flowers, felt circles join, thanks to which decorative elements are sewn onto elastic rubber bands.

• September 1 in order to add the official image of festivity, the bunch can be decorated with a laconic black and white bandage, the “highlight” of which is given by a playful “pea” pattern. The decoration is created from several flowers and a large bow with a decorative bead, combined on an elastic band.

• For a more informal holiday event bright cornflower blue shade, consisting of large flowers with a “pearl” center and a medium-sized bow, is more suitable.
