How to create a ribbon using the kanzashi technique and weave it into a braid?

To create an amazing decoration, you need to prepare the following.

• The basis. As a rule, satin ribbons are used in the work. They are bright, durable and affordable.
• Universal glue or glue gun.
• A set of tools for sewing (needles, threads, scissors).
• Candle, lighter or blowtorch for fabric processing and soldering.
• Beads and other decorative elements (artificial or natural stones, sparkles, rhinestones, beads, brooches, plastic figures and much more).
• Ruler or flexible meter (you can use a construction meter).
• Tweezers (any option is suitable, be it a surgical instrument or ordinary tweezers, with which tweezed eyebrows, the main thing is that it is convenient for you to work with it).

These are the basic tools and materials you may need. Also used are lace, organza, felt, rhinestones and much more.

The tape for weaving into a kanzashi braid will not be left without attention. A colorful accessory with vibrant colors will transform any look.

To make crafts, you need to prepare the following.

• Snow-white satin ribbon. Width - 2.5 centimeters and 1 centimeter.
• Hairpin or hair clip.
• Light and light lace.
• Circles of felt of different sizes: 1 element in diameter of 3.5 centimeters, 4 elements - 2 centimeters.
• 2 whole beads and 5 half beads.
• Threads.
• Candle or lighter.
• Needles and threads.
• Tweezers.
• Ruler.
• Glue gun.
• Click-clack hairpins, no decor.

A step-by-step master class looks like this.

• To make the first flower, you need to prepare 2 pieces of tape. Sizes: length - 5 centimeters, width - 2.5 centimeters.

• The resulting segment folds at right angles, as in the photo. We twist the element in such a way as to dock the ends.

• This is how it looks on the reverse side. Using fire, solder the ends, fixing them in place.

• Next, you need to double the resulting petal, wrap the front side inward. We bend one of the parts to the edge. By analogy, we bend the other part as well.

• Solder the petal using fire. This is what should come out in the end. We do the same with the remaining pieces.

• We collect flowers from 5 petals (5 pieces). You also need to make 7 more elements.

• Now you need to prepare the tape. Length - 2 meters, width - 1 centimeter. The edges are carefully treated with fire. Find the middle and fix it with glue, as shown in the image.

• We pass to the lace. We will need a piece of 35 centimeters. Sew it with thread, light stitches. Gently pull the thread to pull the lace into a circle. Do not over tighten. Here is the result.

• We take circles from felt, with the help of scissors we make 2 identical cuts on them, as can be seen in the picture. The hairpin is placed in a large circle, the diameter of which is 3.5 centimeters. We fix it with glue.

The build process looks like this.

• Attach a ribbon to the main element with a hairpin.
• The lace band is firmly glued to the felt mug.
• We fill the middle with snow-white petals.
• Having placed all 7 elements, we get such a blank.
• We fix one of the finished flowers on top.
• The remaining circles of felt need to be strung on a satin ribbon.
• The edge of each circle is framed by glue.
• And we fix the finished flower. Pressing it tightly to the base.
• This is how the decoration looks on the reverse side.
• Also glue the remaining flowers. We decorate each of them with a bead, placing it in the center. Here is such an accessory in the end. It is worth noting that the circles themselves are not glued to the tape, due to which they can be freely moved during the creation of hairstyles.
• The edges of the ribbons can be decorated with beads.

There are several ways to weave an original jewelry into your hair. Consider the most popular of them.

• Hair should be divided into three equal parts, as for a normal braid.
• A satin ribbon decoration needs to be attached to the middle one.
