Tools and materials
To make the jewelry yourself, you need to prepare 26 pieces of tape (size should be 5x5 cm). You can choose any color you like, but the fabric of cream, golden shades and champagne are the best. Still need to take 15 pieces of brocade in gold color (4x4 cm).
Cooking and other little things:
- an empty foam insert from under the tapes measuring 4 cm;
- several white felt circles 4 and 6.5 cm in size;
- a piece of a satin ribbon of champagne color measuring 1.2 cm (so that the bobbin on which the parts will be attached looks more attractive);
- a little brocade of 0.5 cm;
- 14 mother of pearl beads;
- 7.5 cm clip;
- brocade 0.5 cm wide and 8.5 cm long;
- a rectangle of felt to decorate the mount.
Execution technique
New Year's (or other crown) is done as follows. First you need to make 26 triple and sharp petals, which then will need to be divided into several rows. You should also make 15 simple sharp petals, but from golden brocade. From triple elements you need to assemble the frame.
Champagne squares, cream and golden shades are taken. Elements of the same size are bent in half, opposite angles need to be combined.Further, the bending is repeated on other details until the squares become four-layer. Each of the squares is a separate layer for the petals to be made. They stack together.
After that, a lighter and tweezers are taken, with their help you need to create a sharp petal.
Brocade should be a weightless layer inside. Scissors and a lighter will help flatten the petals. For the original crown, it is necessary to prepare 26 identical petals. There will be 13 in one layer.
We take a cylindrical foam and make the base of the crown. You can use an empty portion of the roll of tape. This element is an ideal option that will fit the size, and also will not allow the finished hairpin to slide through the hair, as it is light. We prepare a circle from felt (we measure under the cylinder) and a tape to make the side more beautiful.
On one side of the cylinder, felt is glued, on the side it is glued with satin. Triple petals are attached there (they must be attached with the back side). A neat and uniform first layer is formed (13 petals). The side covered with felt should be inner. After the remaining petals are attached (not sharp), which must be placed in the gaps remaining between the previous elements. The second ring should move slightly inward.
From the golden pieces (4 cm) that we have left, we make the petals. We try to get sharp details, but they should be more compressed from the sides. Need to make 15 pieces. These parts must be distributed where the void is. They go in the upper layer. On the front side you can make a graceful shamrock. Next, take a 6.5 cm felt circle and attach it to the bottom of the hairpin, on which the creative crown will be.
After that you need to take a small ribbon of brocade and use it to make the base of the details of the lower layer more attractive by decorating them. Half beads are sewn to the crown blank (13 are located on a strip of brocade, and one is attached from above, in the center). You can attach the finished crown to the rim or come up with your own original craft by sharing a master class.
