What it is?
In the world of needlework, kanzashi is the direction of applied art to create original jewelry from satin ribbons, silk, organza, beads, rhinestones, beads, sequins and other materials that can only be imagined. The modern kanzashi technique consists of many options: from simple patterns to complex ornaments. But even the most uncomplicated jewelry looks charming.
Initially, Japanese geisha began to use the kanzashi technique. Luxurious silk kimonos and unique, exquisite flowers made in your hair by your own hands were indispensable attributes of the images of captivators of beauty.
Now the work in the kanzashi technique is not limited to gizmos for hairstyles (hairpins, hairpins, combs, headbands, bows). Products in the kanzashi style are decorated with accessories for clothes, bracelets, caskets, attributes of wedding celebrations and other festivals, decorative elements of the interior and other items.
Necessary materials
The main element in the kanzashi technique - flowers of various options and difficulty levels. Obviously, beginners need to start mastering kanzashi with simple schemes and gradually improve their skills. For example, you can first try to make the middle for a flower.
For work, you need simple available materials:
- beads of different sizes;
- half beads;
- beads of various color shades;
- strass chain;
- cabochons;
- polymer glue (you can take "Titan");
- cotton pads or pieces of felt;
- sewing needle;
- thread or thin line;
- scissors;
- tweezers.
It is important to prepare at once everything that is needed so as not to be distracted later. The work involves many small details, and if you get up from the table behind the missing accessories, you can inadvertently scatter materials.
Step-by-step instruction
From this set of materials you can make many different options. the middle for kanzashi. Not necessarily in every product everything will be used.
You can make the middle only from beads, or in combination with beads, or with rhinestones, or from several types of material. It all depends on the artistic design and fantasy of the craftswoman
Here is a simple example for beginners. This is the middle of beads, a strass chain and beads. The sizes and colors of the materials can be selected different, then the middle of different sizes and colors will be obtained. You will also need: a half-bead, a felt circle for the base, tweezers, a needle with a thread, glue.
- Put glue on the felt circle in the center and glue the half bead.
- We glue the half-bead in a circle with a piece of strass chain, gently pressing it to the felt and tweezers adjusting each strassin so that they all lay on the glue with the bottom side.
- When the glue dries, we cut the felt in a circle, leaving the edge from the strass chain about the diameter of the beads that were prepared for sewing.
- We insert the thread into 2 additions into the bead needle, pierce the felt base from the bottom up and fix the thread.
- String the beads and beads alternately through the needle so that they close in a ring around the half bead with a strass chain.
- We close the ring, bring the needle to the wrong side of the base, tighten it well and fix the thread with knots.
- Without cutting the threads, we bring the needle to the front side and sequentially sew each bead to felt: we pierce the base up and down and move around one by one around the bead throughout the ring, sew all the beads.
- We fix the thread on the underside of the felt with knots and cut the end.
The middle is ready. You can slightly burn the edges of the felt over a candle or a regular lighter. This is one of the easiest ways to make kansashi middle. There are other options, but if there is no experience, then you should not take up several tasks at once.. Let one thing work out well at first, and the first works will be simple and understandable. When some experience has accumulated, you can gradually proceed to the implementation of more interesting, but complicated products.
