Features skiing
Every year, more and more people decide to spend their holidays not on the beach, but in a ski resort, and there are many reasons for this. Active winter activities bring a lot of pleasure and are good for your health. In addition, the breathtaking views of the mighty mountains, fresh air and acquaintances according to interests are much more attractive for many than a ticket to warm regions. However, it is important to remember that skiing can be dangerous. And your safety is completely up to you, as the staff of the ski centers will not be able to fully protect you from injuries.
Therefore, before you go skiing in Montenegro, be sure to study the important recommendations.
- Do not neglect the services of instructors. Many beginners think that skiing or snowboarding is very simple and they will succeed right away. Or friends and parents decide that they are competent enough in the survey of training, and take everything upon themselves. However, the majority of accidents on the slopes is precisely due to the lack of skiing equipment and culture that a competent instructor can instill. In just a couple of classes, you will learn how to behave on a slope, master the basic technique. This will save a ton of time.
- Competently evaluate your strength. If you just went skiing or snowboarding a couple of days ago, choose simple prepared tracks with markings and gentle rollouts. Do not ride in the forest on unprepared slopes. So you endanger yourself and others.
- Do not drive while intoxicated. Bars and clubs work even after the closure of the lifts. Moreover, there is even a special term “après-ski”, which involves relaxing just after a day on the ski slope.
- Choose the right clothes. Always dress according to the weather and keep in mind that clothing for skiing is significantly different from everyday. On jackets and trousers there must be a membrane that quickly removes steam and moisture, does not get wet. Forget about your grandma’s thick sweaters and wear tech pullovers made of polartek or fleece. Follow the rule of layering: first thermal underwear, then a pullover, then a jacket. Socks should also be special: long and reinforced in certain places.
- Do not ride alone. Even large groups of vacationers often share and ride separately. If you are on a simple prepared slope, this is uncritical. However, going alone to freeride is definitely not worth it.
- Properly select equipment. If you do not understand skiing or snowboarding, contact professionals from a rental or store. The projectile must be in good condition, suitable for you in height, weight and level of riding.
This is a minimum of tips that should not be neglected. So you will make your vacation in the ski resort not only interesting and eventful, but also safe.
Now you know that in beautiful Montenegro you can not only go on excursions and buy souvenirs. More often choose active types of recreation and remember that there is no better souvenir from vacation than vivid memories and emotions.
