VTB bicycles: how to rent and pay?

The popularity of using bicycles as personal vehicles is growing. Most people who care about the ecology of the environment and their physical condition opt for a two-wheeled assistant. In large cities, for which traffic jams are common, bike rental is a practical and affordable solution to the problem. In the article we will tell you how to rent and use VTB bicycles, as well as answer other questions of interest.

The automated rental system is designed so that anyone can ride a bicycle at any convenient time, without human involvement. Transport is taken from a special station. To use the rental you will need a mobile phone.

To use the rental you need to register. There are several ways to do this:

• Install a special mobile application on your smartphone. You can download it from Google Play or the App Store, depending on the operating system installed on the phone.
• Visit the Velobike web portal and create an account.
• Use the terminal, which is located at each rental station.

When registering, it is necessary to enter personal data:

• the phone number to which a message will come with data for entering the system (login and password);
• Full name of the user;
• electronic box.

Bike must be taken from a specially equipped station. They are located throughout the city. You can get acquainted with their addresses on the site. After use, vehicles are left at the nearest station. Before heading to the address of the selected parking lot, you should check the availability of bicycles. This can be done through the program on a mobile phone or on a rental site. There you can also see the available seats for transport.

Approaching the station, you need to select any of the bicycles and press the OK button. It is located on the steering wheel of a vehicle. Enter your login and code (each user’s login details are personal). After successful authorization, “Successful road” will appear on the panel, a sound signal will also follow. Now the bike can be removed from the parking lot and ride around the city. The second authorization option is to attach a “Troika” card to the panel (it must be previously associated with an account).

Thanks to city parking lots, you can use not only standard bicycles, but also models that run on electric motors. With their help they overcome longer distances, while maintaining their own strength. Electric transport can not be found at every station, so their presence must first be checked.

Everyone can use electric models by paying any convenient tariff. When using, pay attention to the color signal of the display. It will indicate the amount of charge remaining:

• red flashing charge - the battery is low;
• red color - there will be enough energy at a distance of up to 5 kilometers;
• red and yellow color of the indicator - the maximum distance is up to 10 kilometers;
• red, yellow and green - the battery will last up to 18 kilometers of the road.

To rent an electric bike, you need to follow the same procedure as for conventional transport models. The only difference is that the model with the battery needs to be turned on by pressing the red button located on the steering wheel.

Most major Russian cities are equipped with special tracks designed specifically for cyclists. When moving along highways and roads, be sure to follow the rules of road safety.

Residents and guests of Moscow who use bicycle rental can freely move around the Moscow Ring Road. In this case, it is also recommended that you do not leave the bike paths. With their help, moving within the city becomes more practical and safe.

Regardless of where the user took the vehicle, you can return the bike to any parking nearby. Be sure to check if there is free space on the selected station. Actual information is on the site and in the mobile program. After arriving at the parking lot, the vehicle must be placed in a free cell until it stops. If everything is done correctly, the text message “Return” will appear on the panel. Confirm the operation by pressing the OK button. A single beep will indicate to the user that everything is done correctly. Three consecutive signals - an error in the return procedure or the transport is not recorded properly.

As an additional confirmation of the return, a corresponding message will be sent to the mobile phone. It will indicate that the procedure was carried out according to all the rules. Only in case of a successful return can you leave the parking lot. In that case, if you do not complete the procedure for returning the bike, the rental time will be automatically extended. After 2 days, a fine of 30 thousand rubles is deducted from the user's card.

In the event that there is a lack of funds on the card or the bank has disabled payment, arrears may arise for using the vehicle. To pay off the debt, you need to go to the rental site or in the application on your smartphone and select the option “Pay the debt”. Next, enter the number of another bank card from which the amount of debt will be withdrawn, and the code from the message sent by the bank.

The bike rental system accepts the following cards:

• "Peace";
• Visa from Sberbank of Russia;
• Mastercard.

The following options cannot be used to pay for services and debt:

• Maestro;
• Electron

Before using car rental services in the necessary order should:

• Carefully study the rules of DD.
• Check the selected bike for a malfunction.
• Read the rules of use of the system. This section includes many items: a ban on the management of bicycles in a state of drug or alcohol intoxication; travel ban on expressways; boundaries within which vehicles can be used; cargo weight (it should not exceed 5 kilograms).

If you have problems using the bike, you should contact a special customer service and tell about the problem. You can find contact information and opening hours of the support service on the rental website. After the bike is returned to the station, following the general rules. Technical representatives will send the bike for repair.

For convenient use of transport rental, several tariff options have been developed. Each client chooses the most convenient and profitable for themselves.

• "World" (day). Open access for 24 hours. Using bicycles up to 30 minutes is free. The maximum interval between trips is 15 minutes. You can only pay by credit card "Mir". This tariff plan is recommended for beginners who are just starting to get acquainted with the system.
• "Day". This tariff is identical to the above. The only exception is the possibility of using other bank cards and cost.
• "World" (weekend). Access to the station for 2 days. A user can make an unlimited number of trips per day. Sale is only on Fridays. As in the previous tariff, the break between using vehicles should be at least 15 minutes. Payment only through the Mir card.
• Weekend The tariff is similar to the Mir option (weekend), except that it can be purchased any day. Also the difference in price.
• "Month". The client can use the services for 30 days. Using the equipment within 30 minutes is free. The interval between trips is at least 15 minutes.

• "Season". This tariff plan works until October 31 of the current year. Rides within half an hour are free. The minimum interval between using bicycles is 15 minutes.
• "Season" (45 minutes). This option differs from the above duration of free trips, which increased to 45 minutes.

Tariffs are also provided, including customer life insurance and vehicle integrity. In the event of a bicycle breakdown that did not take place at the user's fault, the insurance company fully compensates for the damage.

• "Day". Rides within 45 minutes are free. Access for a day. The insurance amount is 50 thousand.
• "Month". The duration of free trips is the same as in the tariff above. Access for 30 days. The insured value is 70 thousand.
• "Season". The user gains access until October 31 and free trips if they do not exceed 45 minutes. The amount of customer insurance is 70 thousand.
• "Season 45." This plan offers the longest free trips, limited in time - 60 minutes. The insured amount totals 70 thousand.
