A mirror in the bathroom is a necessary attribute. In addition to participating in daily hygiene procedures, it carries a decorative load and also plays a role in the interior of the bathroom. A special category of bathroom mirrors is large mirrors.
Choosing the Right Model
Before buying your favorite mirror, you should decide what style the bathroom will be made in. Not only the size, shape and location of the item, but also its functional load will depend on this. They can be placed on the wall near the bathroom or sink, in which case the location will depend on the function of the mirror. If it serves only as a decorative decoration, then it is worth hanging it near the bathroom, and if the whole family is washing in front of it in the morning, then it makes sense to hang it near the sink.
Do not hang it too low - then it will have to be cleaned from spray several times a day, which will somewhat overshadow the joy of buying and add unnecessary trouble.
Better to choose a place a few centimeters (about 5–10 cm) above the washbasin - this will protect the mirror surface from too frequent splashes.
If you prefer not too large, but functional mirrors, pay attention to models with a width approximately equal to the washstand or slightly larger. They will take up less space, and the remaining space on the wall can be adjusted under a hanging cabinet.
There are models of cabinets with already built-in mirrors, you can purchase any one you like.
Mirrors with a shelf should be selected if you are sure that on this very shelf there will be enough free space. Otherwise, if everything is filled with bottles, jars and tubes of hygiene products, the clutter effect will appear again, and besides, almost half of the mirror that should reflect you will reflect all the countless care products.
In the presence of a large number of hygiene products, it makes sense to purchase a mirror with a locker.
Decor Features
In addition to the reflective surface itself, a mirror can also have decorative elements, including a frame, patterns, or additional illumination. When purchasing such a mirror it is important that the decorative elements are in harmony with the rest of the design decisions in the room.
So, a model with a built-in electronic clock, sensor or LED backlight will fit much more organically into modern or minimalist styles than in classic or baroque.
It is much easier to choose a mirror in the frame, since there are a lot of varieties of them, and you can find a ready-made version that will fit well into your interior. The most common types of frames: baguettes, trims and with forged frames or elements.
If for a long time an ordinary mirror hangs in your bathroom, embarrassing you with its originality, then you can correct the situation with the help of various sticker patterns that can be chosen for every taste and interior in online stores.
Remember that the bathroom is a resting place. No need to overload it with details and intricate decor.
