How to clean the washing machine with vinegar?

A washing machine is a household appliance necessary in a house, which cannot be dispensed with. But it can be scaled, so it’s important to properly care for it. In this case, not only store products can help cope with pollution, but also ordinary vinegar, which can be found at home.

A washing machine may become dirty in the following cases:

• Despite the safety of this product, do not get carried away with dosages, otherwise vinegar can ruin the sealing rubber. It will become stiff and eventually tear.

To remove dirt on the surface, just use a piece of cloth dipped in a dishwashing liquid with vinegar in a ratio of 5: 1. Instead of a rag, you can use a toothbrush that will effectively wipe off dirt from the surface of the machine. This procedure needs to be done every three to four months. Reducing the interval may damage the washing machine:

• To remove scale, first you need to free the drum from all clothing.
• Then it is necessary to pour vinegar in the amount of two glasses into the powder receiver.
• After that, you should run the machine at high temperature for a cycle of two to three hours.
• But the previous paragraph does not mean that you can safely go about your own business during this time, because already five minutes after the start of washing you need to turn off the machine and leave it so for an hour so that the vinegar solution is well absorbed into the scum.
• Then the device is switched on again and wait until the cycle is completed.
• After the time is up, the machine must be opened and cleaned with a cloth soaked in vinegar with water, a filter, a rubber seal, a door with the drum itself.

If the musty smell still remains after the procedure, you should repeat the manipulations again, but already, adding a little soda to vinegar in the following proportions: a glass of vinegar and 0.5 cups of soda (it is poured into a powder container). You can also add essential oil there.

Dirt is not the worst thing that can appear on the seal, mold and mildew are also possible. When cleaning the machine, do not forget about the container where the powder is poured. To do this, you need to use a container where water will be poured with the addition of 9% vinegar in an amount of two hundred and fifty milliliters. The container is placed in this solution for twenty-four hours. Then it is wiped with a dry sponge to a perfectly clean state.

You can add soda to vinegar. The prepared solution should be left in the tray for about an hour and a half, then clean the dirt with a brush, they will easily and quickly depart. Then the container is important to rinse.

If the water does not circulate well, an unpleasant odor emanates from the machine or the device leaks - this indicates that the filter is clogged. To eliminate the blockage, a special container is substituted so that the water drains, then the valve opens, and the water that remains there is also drained. After that, the filter is unscrewed, cleaned both from the outside and from the inside and is installed in its original place.

A few tips for housewives:

• Before you start cleaning the machine with vinegar, you need to protect your hands by wearing rubber gloves.
• Vinegar does not clean the dirt from a washing machine, but also clothes with linen. Therefore, you can safely add this substance when washing things. Vinegar is useful for both colored and light fabrics. Wash should be done for at least sixty minutes. By the way, the substance can be added when rinsing, and ironing things will become easier.
• In addition to vinegar, you can use other improvised cleansers, such as soda. It removes mold well. You just need to add soda to the water and moisten a cloth in the solution. Wipe the machine once a week. You can also get rid of pollution with citric acid.
• In addition to folk recipes, to clean the machine, you can use bleach containing chlorine, which can be purchased at the store. The solution is poured into a measuring cup, poured into a drum and the mode is set to sixty degrees or higher. After the procedure, rinse and wipe the drum with a dry cloth. And it is important to ventilate the room, because breathing vapor of chlorine is harmful.

Some housewives clean the washing machine with vinegar for preventive purposes, but, unfortunately, this tool is not able to prevent the formation of scale and other contaminants. They will still be formed due to water quality. But you can observe other preventive measures so that the washing machine lasts a long time:
