When choosing another children's toy, it is important to take care of its safety, beautiful appearance and ease of care. Every teddy bear, bunny, puppy and other plush representatives of the animal kingdom that are so expensive and important for the child must be cleaned regularly. Soft toys often "sleep" in the bed of their little master after accompanying him on an active walk or in kindergarten. These faithful friends travel with the baby always and everywhere, therefore they need to be cleaned about once every couple of weeks. In case of illness in children unplanned disinfection becomes an indispensable part of maintaining recovery.

Handwash

The best approach to plush toys is gentle hand wash. Thus, they clean products including the following overhead elements:

  • eyes;
  • nose;
  • sparkles;
  • pebbles.

If there are sawdust, feathers, buckwheat husk or balls in the toy, it is cleaned without using washing. This is also true for large toys whose dimensions are too large to fit in the drum of a washing machine.

It is recommended to check the toy label: it usually has all the necessary information about washing, including temperature, type and drying. Some types of material do not withstand even the gentle mode.

Before starting the process, you should get a soft brush or a dense rag that is suitable for sufficient friction, baby gel or powder, shampoo. It is necessary to moisten the brush with soapy water at a comfortable temperature, after treating it with pollution, without getting into too delicate places.You can do otherwise and take the foam, rubbing the right place, not wetting the toy completely, but only its surface. Upon completion, it will remain to wet the item with a towel and dry on a horizontal surface. In the event of yellow stains, they are easy to remove, for example, lemon juiceafter drying the toy in the air.

Automatic washing rules

If a toy pet has all the linings, is made of a special material, or just lived to a very respectable age, you should not put it in the washing machine. It remains to be decided on his own whether he is able to survive the wash. Even if it looks strong enough, one cannot exclude the possibility of some subsequent changes in its color and shape, as well as the loss of any details.

So that after you do not have to deal with additional restoration of the toy, it is better to rid her of easily tearing objects in advance (flimsy buttons, metal fasteners, etc.). Then it remains only to place the item in the selected version of the laundry bag (it is needed in case some part of the product falls off so as not to damage the machine) and send it to be washed.

For small toys, for example, towels are a good solution, so that they soften the abrasion of the material on the walls of the drum.

Choice of means and mode

When looking for acceptable laundry options, you shouldn't miss out. following types of funds:

  • atural or baby powders;
  • cleaning gels;
  • shampoos;
  • soft foam for the bathroom;
  • bath gels.

The mode is completely dependent on the material of the toy. For example, a knitted woolen dog needs to be “bathed” with a washing program for woolen products; a teddy horse needs to be spared and at a low temperature. If in doubt, you can always use gentle washing. The temperature regime usually does not exceed 40 degrees, since otherwise the material can noticeably sit down, and the filler completely deteriorates completely. There are, of course, cases of assumptions of a higher degree for the sake of absolute disinfection, but it happens rarely and is necessarily indicated on the product tag.

A reasonable approach would be to completely abandon the “machine” spin in favor of natural drying. But if the plush animal is truly resistant, it must be returned to its former life as soon as possible, a spin of a maximum of 600 revolutions will do.

If there is an additional rinse function, it will not be superfluous to turn it on, thereby completely eliminating the toy from the cleaning agent.

About drying

Delivering the machine from the contents at the end of the process, it is better to sort the toys right away, taking those copies that have shed much after the first wash. This consequence clearly indicates that low-quality dye was used in the manufacture. Such plush inhabitants of the zoo should be replaced with better ones. Large toys are suspended, for example, on the balcony, and dried in this state.

Knitted and other similar “animals” are treated differently: an exclusively horizontal position is acceptable for them, since wool and similar materials easily sit and deform. This type of toy is usually wrapped in a towel, which should absorb moisture, then sent to a regular clothes dryer. If, after drying, the animal’s fur has somewhat fallen off, this is quickly corrected with a toothpick, which will also remove shreds.

Toys with polystyrene balls

A toy filled with such balls is considered one of the safest for a child. Using this filler, extremely pleasant, soothing tactile sensations are created, and the original shape of the product is perfectly preserved for a long time. Polystyrene does not like moisture and is not suitable for the reproduction of microbes, but it attracts dust, so you have to wash such a toy at least once or twice a year.

If the size of the product is not too large, it is better to place the toy in a specially designed cover for washing, which can be replaced with an old pillowcase, and only then send it to the machine. Speed and temperature should be set at 600 or 400. Additional rinsing and the use of a mild liquid detergent will not hurt. Subsequent drying should take place on a horizontal surface.

About musical

The talking and singing toys of the children's room also need to be washed periodically well. Such friends of the kids will certainly need additional preparation, which takes place in several stages:

  • groping for a case containing electronics;
  • making an incision along the seam in order to remove the mechanism;
  • closing the incised space for subsequent washing in a suitable way.

When the drying process is over, it remains to remove the threads and return the electronic structure to its rightful place, then sew up the toy using the manual method or a special machine. The presented option is the safest for this type of product. Along the way, if necessary, you can replace the batteries.

There is an exception - “squeaking” toys that you need to click on to hear the sound. You don’t have to pull anything out of them, you should only take care of the sparing mode and low turnover.

Toy cleaning

There are quite capricious products that can withstand exceptionally dry cleaning, for which improvised products are used. However, for its effectiveness, one should not allow the overly neglected state of the toy. This is not a big deal, and time is needed quite a bit. A vacuum cleaner is great. With its help it turns out to remove even the dust that accumulated for several years. But you should be extremely careful with a vacuum cleaner, so as not to leave the toy accidentally without glued eyes and other similar elements. For this, the minimum power is turned on, a special nozzle is used, the purpose of which is to clean upholstered furniture.

Another way is to use soda or starch. Here you will need a plastic bag, the volumes of which are better not to be stingy. A toy hero is placed in it, on which the selected substance is poured on top. Approximately 100 g of powder or more may go away - it all depends on the size of the contaminated product. The package should be tied tightly and shaken thoroughly for several minutes. After that, it remains to remove the remaining dust with any brush.

Cold cleansing

Despite the beauty and value, vintage and toys left after grandmother's childhood probably have a whole horde of ticks. Realizing this, do not rush to take them to the trash, because getting rid of parasites will help with “cold” cleaning, that is, the most ordinary severe cold. It is important to put the toy in a bag and only then put it in the freezer. fridge for the night. At a suitable temperature and permissible dimensions of the product, you can use the balcony, leaving the toy there in limbo. Then you just need to brush the surface in order to get rid of dust: and now the faithful plush friend is again ready to delight with his presence.
