It seems to be working on notes, but it’s of little use. Then he made it a rule to devote a certain time to the work, namely 25 minutes. As a stopwatch, he served as a regular kitchen timer in the form of a tomato. Hence the name of the technique.

15 minutes rule

It’s not hard to guess in this way we cut off everything that is unnecessary and concentrate only on what really needs to be done.

Common mistakes

No one is safe from mistakes in planning time.

  • You think that being in touch is always right. Not at all. At least sometimes go "into yourself." The world will not stop in your absence. Of course, before you “disconnect”, you need to “attach” children. Otherwise, you can be left to your own devices. Stay alone with yourself for at least a few minutes a day.
  • You think that on your table "everything is at hand." How many minutes did you spend yesterday finding a stapler? Put things in order on the desktop, as well as in the closet and shelves in the kitchen. You’ll even be surprised how much the next time you save time looking for the right one.
  • Do not confuse business and personal. Combining cooking with your child’s homework is certainly possible. But when you salt the fish, forget about the report that you need to take at work tomorrow. It is highly likely that the fish is too salted. Or, conversely, drop products on securities. Do not try to catch it all at once. Otherwise, “burn” not at work, but at home.

  • If possible, come to the office earlier. Not to “drive the gulls” with colleagues. As they say, we’ll sit earlier, we’ll get up earlier (what if the mother-in-law lingers on her tomato beds?).
  • Make the workflow fun. For example, arrange competitions, who will do faster or better. No competitive peers? Fight yourself. Set new office records.
