The first step is to familiarize yourself with the information indicated on the tag, and be sure to comply with all conditions. If there is an icon on it that prohibits cleaning at home, then the dress should be dry cleaned. This also applies to spots that you yourself are not able to remove.

The choice of means and method of cleaning depends on the fabric. Each has its own individual characteristics that need to be considered.

Partial soaking can only be carried out using a liquid product that is designed to work with delicate fabrics.When the necessary portion of the detergent is dissolved in warm water, you can soak only the most contaminated part of the dress, for example, the hem.

You will need a toothbrush with soft bristles, with which dirt will be wiped. You need to rub without fanaticism, delicate fabrics do not like sudden movements.

Do not lose sight of the lining, which is also often decently contaminated. After such simple procedures, you can rinse the treated areas with clean water.

Stain control will not be a difficult process if you prepare for it in advance and follow some recommendations:

• sweat stains. Turn the dress to the wrong side. With a pre-prepared soap solution, moisten the lining in the bodice and wipe it with a soapy sponge or again with a soft bristled toothbrush. If you have to deal with a silk dress, then with such a delicate material, sweat stains are removed using ordinary saline (a glass of water accounts for a tablespoon of ordinary salt). Look carefully at the remaining lining and, if there is any dirt, rub them with soapy water.
• Red wine. Now it's time to deal with the front of the dress. Red wine is removed by exposure to a hot soapy solution.
• grass stains. Take 1 tbsp. warm water and 1 tsp. ammonia, mix and thoroughly blot the stain. Lather the dried place with laundry soap and spread.

If other spots are found, then you can choose three ways to deal with them:

• thorough, but not strong rubbing with a soapy sponge;
• use of concentrated detergent;
• Oxygen-based stain remover treatment.

The main wash should take place according to the following scenario:

• we collect warm water (30-40 degrees) in the bathroom or large basin and dissolve the detergent in it without aggressive effects;
• we lower in a bath dress for 2 hours;
• lightly rinse the dress in soapy water, paying special attention to places with especially strong pollution;
• rinse the dress in clean water until soap bubbles form in the water.

In fact, washing in a machine can be used, although many people find this method ridiculous and even dangerous. With the right approach, machine wash can still make a dress as fresh and beautiful as it was originally:

• Choose the most gentle and delicate mode without spin and with a reduced cycle time;
• use only liquid and colorless detergent;
• so that embroidery or decor from beads does not lose their appearance, you can sew gauze on top;
• the use of a bulk laundry bag is predominantly.

If there is a corset in the outfit, then at high temperature and high speeds in the wash, he may lose his design. This will fail to fix.

Washing the dress should not be put off the shelf, and do this process immediately on the second day.

The washing is completed, the dress is as good as new, it remains to dry the dress. It should be dried in a natural way. In no case do not wring, so as not to disrupt the fabric, do not spoil the shape of the dress and leave the decor the same as it was originally.

You should know the material of which the dress was sewn, since delicate fabrics require special ironing:

• the atlas is smoothed not from the front, but from the inside. When steaming, traces of water may remain;
• lace under the influence of high temperature may turn yellow or melt, so that this does not happen it must be smoothed through cotton. The iron should work on steam ironing.
• lightweight fabrics with a flying effect cannot be ironed at all, only steamed in a suspended state. Starting from the lining, it is necessary to steam each layer in turn.
