There is a special style, which is characterized by pretentiousness and pomp - Baroque. Having arisen once, this style is present in every new collection of famous designers.
History
The baroque style in the images of beautiful ladies was necessarily associated with richly embroidered corsets, fluffy skirts, sometimes elongated.
In the female images there was some theatricality, the silhouettes by all means approached the shape of an hourglass.
Historical baroque dresses made of brocade and silk were decorated with gold or silver embroidery, which was dominated by intricate curls and floral motifs. Fluffiness added crinoline or rings.
The colors must be chosen saturated so that against their background the gold and silver embroidery looked particularly expressive and rich.
The predominant colors were burgundy and emerald, gold and pearl, purple and brown.
The skin of the face was carefully whitened, the lips were given expression and brightness, blush was applied and flies were created (artificial moles). Women built high hairstyles with curls from hair.
Modern models
The modern manifestation of this style is not so pompous and pretentious. It is enough to use only one element or characteristic to form a royal and harmoniously folded image.
Baroque dresses are no longer those bulky, uncomfortable designs with layered skirts. Now the image can be formed from a magnificent short skirt, which will be abundantly decorated with lace, bows and embroidery elements.
Another good option is a balloon dress, combined with a wide belt decorated with stones.
Baroque style involves the use of:
- draperies;
- decor in the form of beads and stones;
- bows and ribbons;
- ruffle and lace.
But the most obvious signs that the dress belongs to this style are gold and silver intricate applications.
A dress in this style cannot be too elaborate, since baroque does not even imply the existence of this concept.
The rich look of the dress is given not only by embroidered ornaments. For several seasons, floral or geometric prints have been popular. Here, not only options familiar to us can be considered, but also the most unusual manifestations of colors, for example, leopard.
More recently, a new fashion trend has appeared, which is directly related to baroque. Light dresses created from airy fabrics display works of art from the era when the Baroque style was born.
A thin strap is the final touch to a fashionable look.
In addition to classic colors, modern designers offer interesting variations. Now embroidery or appliqués are arranged in all kinds of colors.
Evening
Evening dresses impress with a variety of silhouettes. Lush, straight, symmetrical, in the style of a mermaid, models of velvet, silk and brocade are embroidered mainly with gold thread and stones, lace applique is used, typical for clothes of the Renaissance.
Designers did not forget about the basque - a fashionable element of that time.
Wedding
The dress for the bride in the Baroque style should have lush and even elaborate forms of incredible width, consist of heavy fabrics (thick velvet or rustling satin, brocade) covered with embroidery of gold and silver threads. Everything should correspond to a luxurious and refined image.
The corset, as always, is given special attention: decorative lacing and precious stones are indispensable elements.
The baroque wedding dress adds pomposity to a train and a decorated back.
The bride should serve herself as an empress. All her gestures, demeanor and ability to keep herself in society - should be on top.
Do not think that such a rich and elaborate dress is self-sufficient and does not need jewelry. It also needs it. And not with any decorations, but with exquisite and natural ones.
On every day
Baroque elements may be present in everyday images, which should unobtrusively attract attention and bear a touch of vintage. It is acceptable to choose dresses with fluffy skirts with a special color and a simple top.
The bottom and top of one outfit should balance each other - this is an obligatory rule for forming an image in the Baroque style.
As for the styles, you can focus on direct options or an A-silhouette midi length. One-year skirt will also be a good option for a casual dress in the Baroque style. The predominant colors are black, navy blue, red and deep green.
A semicircular neckline or V-neckline are the main options that will look worthy in such dresses. Vintage ornaments or ruffles are also indispensable elements even for a casual dress.
Do not forget about the rules according to which colors are selected. Creating a winning image is also possible due to contrasts. One of the colors should be duplicated in additional elements of the image.
Office style can have baroque elements and look at the same time strictly, restrained and rich. For this, a strict direct dress with gold or silver decor is suitable.
The modern baroque style is represented by a large selection of free dresses, painted in bright patterns. You can even choose a simple dress, but if you combine it with a jacket or cardigan in the Baroque style, then your image will look expensive, elegant and restrained.
What to wear
If it’s cool outside, you can wear a short jacket or blazer with the dress. For autumn, you should get a cashmere coat, which will be made in one color scheme with the dress.
For an evening look, it makes sense to choose a lace veil, long gloves, a fur cape.
For everyday dresses, you can choose light scarves with printed elements. If the dress does not look catchy enough, then bright belts will help save the situation.
Accessories must be bright, extraordinary and luxurious, to match the chosen dress. Allowing you to choose massive jewelry with precious stones. But the handbag may be small. Shoes with embroidered elements, in heels, suede, with lacing are welcome.
Everyday images do not require expressive decorations, as well as elaborate shoes will be redundant. But classic and simplicity will allow you to create a good and appropriate image for any occasion.
On the head, it is not necessary to build towers and twist curls, but jewelry can be woven into the hairstyle.
