For several years now, a shuttlecock for blonde hair has not gone out of fashion. With the help of such a painting, you can effectively emphasize the beauty of your hair, refresh your complexion and give extra volume to curls.

What it is?

Shatush is one of the highlights, which allows you to create on the head a stylish transition from darker to lighter tones: as a result, you get the original effect of hair burned out in the hot sun. Traditionally, a couple of light tones are used, close to each other - thanks to their combination, a subtle, but very beautiful overflow on curls is created.

Usually, in a similar technique, the locks are painted along the entire length, but the roots are not affected, therefore, when the hair grows back, the border between the native and colored areas remains aesthetic and attractive. The technique looks spectacular on short, medium and elongated curls, curly and straight. For several seasons, the shuttles were used exclusively by brunettes, but not so long ago, stylists offered quite interesting coloring options for blondes.

The shuttles for fair hair are sometimes confused with balayazh and bronding, they have a lot in common - they are all based on contrasting tinting of the roots and tips. However, shatush is considered a more gentle procedure, since only a small part of the hair is affected here, in addition, for blondes in most cases they use ammonia-free dyes. Such coloring is optimal for young ladies who want a change in appearance, but are afraid to spoil their hair.

The shatush on the owners of a light shovel looks very natural, he does not catch the eye at all. For comparison: balayazh and gradient are more effective on dark and light brown strands, but bronzing is only applied to black and dark brown hair.

Shatush has other advantages in comparison with other coloring techniques:

  • It looks as natural as possible;
  • makes the natural color of hair deeper and more saturated;
  • effectively masks gray hair.

However, this staining has its drawbacks. Shuttles should not be used for blondes with dry, split ends of hair - in this case, the procedure will only worsen the situation, and the hair will look more like a bundle of straw than a spectacular and stylish mop. If you are determined to resort to this method of coloring, then be prepared to first treat your hair with special masks, balms and oils. Well, and, of course, the cut ends are better to be cut before manipulations.

Shatush is very difficult to execute, it is almost impossible to make it at home - it will resemble the easiest highlighting. It is better to contact an experienced master in a beauty salon, where they can not only correctly select a shade, but also apply it correctly on curls, so as to achieve a stylish effect of burnt hair. Shuttles are not done on ultra-short hair - the minimum length of the strands in this case should be up to the middle of the neck, if the hair is shorter, then the result will be untidy and unattractive.

How to choose a suitable color?

In order to choose the right shades, it is necessary to take into account the main tone of the hair and the woman’s color type, and only then choose the right color for your head. Among the most fashionable trends, shades such as:

  • pearl;
  • caramel;
  • ashen;
  • beige;
  • walnut;
  • wheat;
  • golden.

Women of the spring color type should give preference to warm tones - honey, as well as wheat and light golden. Cold colors are not suitable here, especially when painting the house on your own. Light brown colors are suitable for the autumn type, and it is better to give preference to cold shades.

The winter color type is quite far from the classic blonde, but if such women nevertheless strive to become blond beauties at all costs, they will use exceptionally cool colors, so they should use ash, platinum and pearl options for coloring using the crank technique.

But for the summer, stylists recommend both cold and warm colors, so here you can apply the whole color scheme, suitable for blond hair.

When choosing a color, some limitations should also be taken into account:

  • if the skin has a pronounced blush or is prone to redness - pink, salmon and coral shades are better not to use;
  • owners of pale faces should not dye strands in golden hues;
  • for women over 40, platinum and ash colors are not suitable, they emphasize even the smallest wrinkles and visually add a few extra years.

Dyeing hair of different lengths

As already mentioned, shatush is a complex technique, and the ideal result can only be achieved in the cabin in the hands of an experienced craftsman. However, if you are absolutely confident in your own abilities, then you can try to make a shuttle bus at home. In this case, blondes have a clear advantage - staining is non-radical, perhaps all the mistakes are pretty easy to fix. To carry out such coloring, everything necessary should be prepared, namely:

  • brightening paint;
  • tonic of the main color;
  • a comb;
  • gloves
  • a brush or sponge for applying coloring paste;
  • Cape for protection of shoulders and clothes.

We pay special attention to the fact that paint can be not only liquid, but also made in the form of powder - these stylists are preferred by professional stylists. However, to color the house, you can focus on more affordable, but no less effective paints - L'Oreal and Garnier - they created a special series for ombre, which can be taken for painting using the shuttle technique.

Short

To dye short hair, first, the entire hair should be divided into small locks, and then collect each with special clips-clothespins. Each collected bundle is thoroughly combed so that the hair sticks out, after which coloring pigment is applied with sweeping and uneven strokes. Usually the darkest shade is smeared on the roots, a little lighter in the middle, and the ends of the hair are covered with the paler composition.

The paint on short hair should not be kept for too long - 20 minutes is enough to get the most natural effect. After a long time, the mop is washed with running water with shampoo and, if desired, the tips are tinted.

Medium

Technically, painting curls of medium length almost does not differ from coloring of short locks, the exception here is that not all hair is processed, but individual locks of small thickness are selected in random order, after which they are also combed and smeared with short strokes, without affecting the area near the roots.

About 50% of the curls are treated in a similar way, after which the hair is thoroughly washed and covered with a tinting balm, left for 10-15 minutes and washed off again.

Long

At home, long hair is dyed in the same way as medium, but here, as a rule, they collect not several small bundles of hair, but one large tail on the top of the head, comb it thoroughly and cover it with paint. In salon conditions, long-strand shuttles are made without fleece. Step by step, this technique is as follows:

  • To begin with, the master selects several curls from an entire pile in random order and fixes them in one bundle;
  • the prepared brightening paint is applied with a brush or hands, less often using a rounded comb so as to avoid even distribution of the paste, the lightening intensity is determined in an arbitrary order;
  • the composition is aged on the hair for 10 to 40 minutes, after which the paint is washed off with shampoo;
  • Professional tonics are applied to the hair, which give the desired shade to the hair so that it harmoniously blends with the color of the native strands.

Special attention deserves the coloring of the bangs. In most cases, it is left in its native color when colorizing the rods, however, it should be borne in mind that asymmetric or slanting bangs are best combined with such staining. They look great together with colored strands, visually lengthen and ennoble the face. The image is feminine and extremely elegant.

Regardless of the length of the hair, all the ladies who intend to master the shatushu on blond hair at home, you must adhere to a number of conditions. Paint should be applied to dirty strands, it is advisable to wash your hair no later than a day before painting - in this case, sebum protects the hair shaft from the aggressive effects of coloring components, and the hair retains its healthy and well-groomed appearance after staining.

When all the paint is completely washed off with curls, be sure to apply conditioner balm on the strands - this will allow you to smooth out the curls that were strongly combed as painless as possible. After coloring, use only special sulfate-free shampoos - they wash the paint from the hair.

Blond hair is more porous than dark, so they suffer quite a lot in any aggressive environment. After staining, make it a rule once a week to use regenerating masks and other grooming complexes to maintain the luxurious look of your hair.

If you notice that your head has become too brittle - give preference to silicone-based shampoos and balms - they create a protective shell around the hair and protect it from cross-section and excessive dryness.

After dyeing, the head should not be washed with too hot water, it is also recommended to minimize any thermal effects - the use of ironing and curling irons for styling, and it is better to put the hair dryer in cold mode.
