Traditionally, the scooter is set in motion by physical force. But there were models with an artificial drive - we are talking not only about electric, but also about gasoline devices. It’s good to know what they are.

Features, pros and cons

Electrical devices have become familiar and would be quite convenient if not for one “but”. It goes about the need to recharge the battery. This procedure can take several hours in a row. All the time it is taken away from consumers, and they are forced to wait until the battery is full. A gas scooter does not have this drawback: you can just pour fuel into it and go on.

However, this plus looks somewhat less impressive, given the loud noise. Fans of environmental friendliness such a product obviously will not work. True, for those for whom comfort and travel distance come first, this problem is not too interesting. Moreover, the city has enough other noise sources. Usually scooters are equipped with a two-stroke type engine with a 1-2 liter gas tank.

The speed of advanced gas scooters can reach 40-45 km / h. Moreover, their mass does not exceed 10-20 kg, which allows people who do not differ in outstanding physical characteristics to handle such devices. On gasoline personal transport, you can not only avoid traffic jams, but also get to hard-to-reach places, for example:

  • garage cooperatives away from home;
  • cottages;
  • fishing spots;
  • suburban forests.

It is not practical to purchase a gasoline scooter for children (under 10 years old). Nevertheless, this is a very serious vehicle, which can be very dangerous.Whether to buy it for teenagers depends on the level of technical literacy and the responsibility of the future user.

The absence of the need to push off with legs, energy saving and increased speed will please any experienced riders. But we must remember that any gasoline device is fire hazard.

Models of scooters with a motor

  • Modification is in demand "Vector 3". This version is produced in Russia, and 100% of the parts used have the quality mark of the Russian Federation.
  • No less attractive option would be modification EVO RX. This scooter can accelerate to 55 km / h, carrying a total load of up to 120 kg. The designers took care of using 3 speeds. The motor is about the same as that of the "Vector 3", but it is recommended to use fuel grade Ai-95. The proportion of oil in relation to gasoline is 1: 50.
  • EVO 50RX 2speed it accelerates to 60 km / h, but can drive a maximum of 30 km at a full gas station. The cost of scooters with a gas motor for adults with a seat is an average of 20,000-30000 rubles.
  • Model 150CC by Yasan Motor equipped with four-stroke engines with a working compartment of 100-150 cubic meters. cm, driving speed can reach 90 km / h. The device is equipped with a tubeless tire of an automobile sample, the gas tank capacity reaches 6.7 liters, the disc drum brake works very reliably in any conditions. Wheelbase - 1.36 m. The highest load level is 150 kg. Starting is possible with both manual and electric starter.
  • Another good model - TKM50E-3B. The engine can have a volume of 50 to 100 cm3, depending on version. Equipped with a steel frame allows for maximum strength and reliability of the device. Rubber tires work very stably, the gas tank has a capacity of 4.2 liters, the disc brake quickly stops the scooter. Dimensions 1.95 x 1.008 x 1.117 m.

Using gas scooters

It is recommended to use gasoline during the break-in of a new device AI-92 or AI-93. Run-in in the first 50 kilometers of the path must be done independently, without entrusting it to any other people. Even if high-quality materials and excellent parts were used in the manufacture, a special “grinding” is still needed. The load on the motor must be strictly limited. Ride during the break-in necessary at the same speed, ensuring that the engine runs at different frequencies.

Periodically, the load is reduced so that the parts have time to cool. During break-in, synthetic or semi-synthetic engine oils are used. Immediately after starting the scooter, you should not ride - even if at least a minute the mixture of fuel and oil “works”. The response time is added to the warm or cold start time.

The air filter is checked before leaving, and after the trip is over, it is checked again and, if necessary, cleaned.

Safety requirements must also be considered:

  • Do not ride without extreme necessity in the dark and on slippery surfaces, on steep slopes;
  • Do not try to refuel the engine while driving and in a warmed state;
  • immediately remove all spilled gasoline and oil;
  • do not charge the scooter near fuel storage areas, near electrical appliances and transformers, heat sources;
  • avoid traveling on gravel, gravel, sand;
  • Do not drive near parked cars;
  • observe the same rules of the road as pedestrians.

If you ride a scooter for any vehicle, you must maintain a distance of 10-15 m to insure against sharp maneuvers. You can not arbitrarily change the design of the device, remove factory parts from there or change them to artisanal parts. To ride in the dark and with poor visibility, with a short daylight, you must always wear a reflective vest. It is advisable to provide reflective stickers and the scooter itself.

Do not engage in aggressive skating and exceed the recommended load.

Still need to remember about the following points:

  • wearing a helmet and protective equipment;
  • the use of knee pads and elbow pieces when riding a stunt scooter;
  • regular checking of the condition of the wheels and brakes.
