Most people associate a visit to the Crimean peninsula only with relaxing on the beaches (in organized or “wild” places). But even far from the sea shore, the nature of these places can surprise many people. A striking example is the Kozyrek Falls.

Travel

You need to look for it near the village of Peredovoye, where the Kobalar-Su River crosses the Baidar Valley. Note: further to its source are 3 more attractive waterfalls. The name "Kobalar-Su" literally means "cave river." She got her name because of the mass of grottoes that are found almost throughout the channel. In the summer months, the upper waterfalls usually dry out, and sometimes they are deprived of water in the last spring days.

Surprisingly, the name of the Kobalar waterfall in Crimea has nothing to do with the name of the river itself. He was given the characteristic growth of tufa, which appeared in 2009. The location of the reservoir makes it convenient for tourists to visit. Nearby are places to relax: comfortable parking for travelers, gazebos. Signs are placed all the way that allow you to get by car without any problems.

It is recommended to travel from Sevastopol from the bus station "5th kilometer". This is the easiest and most convenient option.

At the ticket office of the bus station you can always buy tickets to the village of Peredovoye, and upon arrival there tourists will have to go down.

Walking along the Lower Lake, they quickly find the place where Kobalar-Su flows into. After about 0.1 km, the asphalt will give way to a dirt road that will lead travelers to a small valley.

A bridge is thrown across the river. Having crossed it, tourists climb the thumb track.From her turn left and go along the shore of the lake. At the entrance to the nearest forest there is a sign that notifies that Kozyrek Falls is nearby. It flows down a cliff. You can cross the bridge to the other side, and then approach the waterfall from behind.

Advantages of the object

Some descriptions also indicate that you can walk to Kozyrka on foot from Chernorechye. The Chernorechenskoye reservoir itself and the Skelskaya cave attached to it will also please holidaymakers, but this is a topic for a separate story. The beech forest that surrounds it gives an additional charm to the waterfall. Speleologists and tourists willingly go to the nearby elegant caves. The reason for the interest is simple:

  • parking lots preserved from the primitive period;
  • Mesolithic finds;
  • traces of ancient hunts.

    The surrounding area is composed of calcareous rocks. Therefore, karst failures are not uncommon here. A visit to the waterfall is recommended in the spring or autumn months. Then its channel is filled either with melt water or rainfall. The stream does not look too impressive, but it looks elegant.

    It seems that the stream is flattened and creates a water curtain. Through it, the sun is clearly visible. Light flare harmoniously intertwined with the jets, which allows you to enjoy a unique picture. The brilliant appearance is complemented by the melodic murmur of water. And below, under a canopy, water gathers in a miniature lake, where tourists bathe.

    Additional Information

    Baidar Valley is a nature reserve, and this creates certain restrictions for tourists. The territory of the valley is very rugged, and it is hardly possible to get to the peak by car. You will have to walk about 1.5 km. The surroundings of the waterfall are well arranged. There is:

    • benches;
    • canopies;
    • bonfires;
    • places for barbecue.

    Near the waterfall is quiet and calm. Especially few people here in the morning. Walking along the trail that leads there, you can see the attraction in great detail. Feelings inspired by untouched nature are unusually strong. Roe deer and other animals often walk in the surrounding forests.

    The water in the Bunuku-Chokrak spring is very clean and potable. But you have to be careful when climbing the trail.

    On this site and on the site itself there are a lot of polished stones. Due to constant contact with water, they become very slippery.

    Local residents are well aware that with the Visor is very easy to break.

      If you do not have your own car, you can get to your destination by minibus or by bus from Sevastopol. The route is about 5 km. Those who are staying in the private sector should take minibuses from the village of Rodnikovoye, if there is a car, it is advisable to go along the Sevastopol - Bakhchisaray highway. From Bakhchisaray turn right, reaching the Pigeon.

      In the village of Peredovoy, where tourists come on this route, you need to look for a road ring with shops and stalls. At a fork in the nearby, turn right again. The last leg (by car and on foot) is about 3 km. The likelihood of getting lost is low, because a lot of people go and go along this path. It is imperative to monitor the children so that they do not commit dangerous nonsense.

      The lake, where the waterfall flows, becomes the source of a stream flowing further along the beam. The Fatma Koba Grotto is an ancient burial site. Nearby discovered a mass of bones of ancient animals and hunting tools. The Baidar Valley, where the waterfall is located, is nicknamed Crimean Switzerland for its climatic characteristics and brilliant appearance.
