Spearfishing in Crimea is the best option for such leisure in our country. Arriving on the peninsula is appropriate for both amateurs and professional athletes. But in order not to make a mistake and not to be disappointed, it is necessary to thoroughly study all the subtleties and nuances.

Leisure

The warm Crimean summer often misleads people who are going to conquer the depths of the Black Sea. Therefore, there is an opinion that you can do with a minimum amount of equipment. And those who are accustomed to diving in the cold seas are especially at risk. In the absence of experience, thoughts also arise that summer diving in the Crimea is possible without special suits. The consequences of such an error can be very dangerous.

In reality, a good, pleasant subjectively temperature develops only at a depth of up to 2-3 m. But in order to be guaranteed to get prey, it is better to dive noticeably deeper. Experienced and passionate underwater hunters often go up to 10 m and below.

In those layers, only freedivers of a world or close level can manage without a special suit.

Therefore, trained catchers most often stock up before leaving for the Crimea:

  • flippers;
  • wetsuit;
  • mask (models without bottom valves are best suited);
  • underwater electric lights;
  • spearfishing guns;
  • nets for catch accumulation (so as not to emerge with each fish in hand);
  • cargo belts.

Where and how best to dive?

But do not think that with all the equipment and basic training you can immediately learn extreme fishing in the waters of the Crimea. There are severe formal restrictions. Their violation threatens the life and health of the hunters themselves, and sometimes other people.

Safety requirements prohibit any dive for hunting purposes:

  • on official and wild beaches, as well as at some distance on both sides of them;
  • in ports (both freight and passenger, and even private);
  • close to border and customs control points;
  • along the border water area and on approaches to it;
  • in places of dumping of waste, including sewer;
  • at the facilities of the Navy and at a reasonable distance from them.

Important: in Crimea there are a number of protected areas of the sea. Protected places in accordance with environmental law are marked on maps, which should be studied in advance.

In some of these places, fishing and marine life are formally permitted without special tools. But it is better not to risk it and not to go on a deliberate conflict with the law.

It is worth remembering the objective limitations associated with the weather.

Inexperienced underwater hunters may suffer when hunting in the winter months. Then hypothermia, especially aggravated by a sudden storm, is life threatening.

If the weather has broken out, or a storm warning has been transmitted, you can’t dive, regardless of the season.

Jerks of water can throw unlucky catchers on stones. And even if this does not happen, the muddy suspension will still not allow to get a lot of fish.

Where to go?

Theoretically, along the coast of ancient Tauris, you can catch good prey. But in the western part of the peninsula it is too shallow; especially bad with depths and visibility in Sevastopol. Some travelers prefer the south and southeast of the region.

At the same time, the southern coast of Crimea is bad in that it is used almost all. Because there are very few places where there are no restrictions.

A relatively good area between Sudak and Theodosius. In this area, the bottom is replete with caves and rocks. It is this environment that attracts fish. In the deep part of the sea many algae are collected.

The problem is that you get quite far from the coast exclusively on motorized vessels.

Rowing boats are difficult. In the reviews it is noted that from Sudak to Feodosia there are a lot of fish, and the visibility is very good. Officially, the fishing of underwater resources is allowed near the Kerch Strait. But the bottom there is covered with silt and sand. Weak visibility to some extent offset by the ability to fish, who do not like to settle in rocky places.

If you still return to Sevastopol, then you should pay attention to Cape Fiolent.

Important: within the city itself fishing is completely prohibited. But the cape has no prohibitions, and the water is very clean.

The catch here will contain many different types of fish. It is worth trying your hand at Cape Ayia and in the bay of Laspi.

Species diversity

The Black Sea is not distinguished by a special variety of fish assortment. But for most professional catchers, not to mention lovers, it is enough. You can catch mullet in the warm season. With the advent of climate spring, it comes to the southwest of the peninsula and systematically shifts eastward over the season. Outwardly similar bearing can be obtained most often from Cape Chameleon.

Large bison can be caught in rocky areas, where at a great depth lies a mass of boulders.

A rather significant croaker gathers in shallow water, teeming with cracks and caves.

Important: it is not recommended to catch slaughter - it is protected by Russian law.

You can meet this fish:

  • in Sevastopol waters;
  • in the area of Sudak;
  • southwest of Kerch.

Novice catchers, distinguished by excellent vision, should try to catch a flounder. Mostly it gravitates to Kerch waters. But with luck, this fish is caught throughout the coastal zone. The main problem is not to get, but to find the flounder. She disguises herself too well.

Underwater hunters with boats often get quatrains. Black Sea sharks have a habit of approaching catchers and imitating an attack. Katran can be found in any Crimean waters.It was possible to catch him along the Azov coast.

Scorpion, they are also "sea ruffles", live on a deep rocky bottom. Since this fish is predatory, it is mainly in ambushes.

Important: the sea ruff has several toxic spikes.

But the "sea cocks" are appreciated not so much for their beauty as for the taste of meat. Fish can grow up to 0.5 m. Basically, it is found at a depth of 18-20 m. The sea cock does not allow to approach and grab itself by hand.

Still worth thinking about fishing:

  • Lufar;
  • red mullet;
  • hamsa;
  • horse mackerel;
  • bonito;
  • Mackerel
  • tuna
  • herring.

Additional Information

Underwater hunters should go to the Black Sea only after long trainings. Without the ability to shoot accurately, there is nothing to do there. In clear water, fish from far away discover a catcher. Many try to hunt from ambush.

Fishing should begin with roulene (sometimes called greenfinch).

This kind of fish is painted in a blue-green tone; You can meet her on rocky sites.

For "stuffing hands" greenfinch is ideal. She is kept shallow, and not too afraid of people. It is not difficult to approach her. But for the same reasons, experienced hunters ignore the greenfinch.

Not only marine, but also fresh-water fish of Crimea deserves attention. So, in the Bakhchisarai reservoir you can meet:

  • ram;
  • zander;
  • whitefish;
  • bream.

            Carp and silver carp are caught on the Zagorsk reservoir. There are also a lot of roaches, perches, crucian carp, and rudd. For perch and silver carp they go to a reservoir located near Kerch. Repeatedly there it was possible to catch fish heavier than 10 kg. During the day on the Kerch reservoir there are two optimal “windows” for fishing: 8-10 and 17-18 hours.
