White color in psychology: what does it mean and symbolize?

Each of us perceives white color in our own way. At first glance, it may seem that it causes everyone only positive emotions. Is it really? This question cannot be answered unambiguously simply because it is neutral and the opposite of black. And this raises many questions that are not so easy to answer.

Most people associate white with snow and winter time. It has its specific meaning in psychology, as it is perceived by our consciousness as something cold and not expressing anything.

The white color of some peoples symbolizes death. When grief happens in a family, women don’t wear black, but white shawls on their heads. Men put on white clothes. White is the color of the shroud. Therefore, he, like the color of the night, is associated with death. It’s not just that in a large number of people snow shades cause despondency, as they are associated with a burial and grave.

Let's see why it is white that causes such unusual emotions. In the culture of individual peoples, it is believed that if the deceased is dressed in black and surrounded by the same color, then he cannot see anything in the next world. And the light colors at the funeral will show the deceased the way to the other world.

But this does not always happen and not at all. Among other things, the artists' completely white color means complete emptiness or lack of color. But unlike black, other colors that do not distort are well manifested on it. So, if you put red on black, then you get a brown color, and on a light shade, red always remains red. White color skillfully combines the spectrum of color and signifies divinity and innocence. Where artists want to portray the integrity of something, they use white paints.

On the other hand, the color of “light” evokes joyful feelings in people. Thanks to this, euphoria sets in. Anyone who has been out of the light for a long time, among the walls that have a dark shade, is trying to break out to swallow freedom.

It turns out that due to the planting of white, a person can in the full sense of the word go blind. And at the same time, due to his constant absence, he can also become blind. This suggests that everyone needs a middle ground. And between white and black there must always be a certain gap, which is filled with other shades, brighter and more saturated.Then equilibrium sets in, and as a result, the psychological state of the individual will remain completely at rest for a long time.

It all depends on the nature of the person. For someone, white is my favorite color. And that's why. Some individuals consider themselves to be in a particular circle. They are airy and demanding of the environment - this is the so-called bohemia.

Lovers of a wonderful life dress in white clothes and live in the warm sunlight somewhere in the villa, and their surroundings: furniture, bedding, floors, ceilings, curtains have a corresponding shade.

This happens because such a person does not care about the need to keep his household goods in complete cleanliness due to the fact that there is no dirt in the district, and instead of it, white sand lies on the beach.

Usually these minions of fate have a servant, she takes care of the integrity of their environment. Therefore, such people are not much interested in how much time they will spend on cleaning the premises and their dresses.

Still appropriately, these persons make sure that people around them think of them as completely unearthly creatures who are not inherent in the transience of everyday life. And this, I must say, is not given to everyone.

Not every person can lead such a parasitic lifestyle for a long time. More active persons will begin to erect violent activity around themselves and will necessarily get dirty.
