Chinese culture is one of the oldest in the world who has managed to maintain its traditions. Women's hairstyle was an important part of the culture. By hairstyle, family and social status, religious commitment were determined.

Complex hairstyles began to be done at about 14 years old, after the rite, which marked the transition of the girl to the status of a girl for marriageable age. The historical feature of the styling can be called their lightness and grace.

Features

Chinese women paid a lot of attention to their hair. Long, smooth hair was pride. Girls hairstyles showed their hair in all its glory. But the women preferred to completely remove them. The texture of Asian hair is stiff and has shades from dark blond to charcoal black.

When creating a hairstyle, a lot of jewelry is used. Now they are used solely as a decorative element, but until the middle of the twentieth century, they pointed to family viability and social status. As a shampoo, a soap solution from algae was used.

Time has passed, but now Chinese women in large quantities use masks of vegetable origin and oils that make hair obedient.

Traditionally and at the heart of modern Chinese-style hairstyles is a bundle. To create more complex hairstyles, use rollers, hairpins (decorative and ordinary). Do not forget about styling products. Modern Chinese-style hairstyles are universal. The same styling will be appropriate in the office, at a party or at an official event.

Hairstyles are designed for long and medium length hair. Stackings have clear, strict lines. The negligence inherent in European fashion is not welcome here.Asians have a thin, elegant profile, so styling is done in an effort to emphasize this. Consider the features of your face when performing Chinese-style hairstyles.

Styling nuances

Let's look at a few simple styling options. Modern hairstyles no longer have such complexity in design. As a rule, these are hairstyles like bunches or non-standard braided braids decorated with hairpins. Before you make your favorite hairstyle, consider the type, stiffness and length of your hair. To make it easier, we introduce a classification of hairstyles by purpose:

  • on every day;
  • business style;
  • at an official event;
  • to stylized events.

Casual hairstyles

The first option has quite European roots, but is stylized as an Asian hairstyle. This makes it both easy to perform and unusual. The technique is as follows.

  • We comb all the hair to the crown and bend so that all the curls are in a hanging position.
  • From the neck to the back of the head weave the back braid, picking up all the strands in that part of the head.
  • At the crown, the braid "separates" from the head and is braided separately.
  • Then you need to lay the braid in the form of a flower on the head and secure with hairpins.
  • The hairstyle is ready. It remains to decorate it to your taste.

You can use sticks (they are fixed crosswise), decorative hairpins with pendants or hairpins with flowers.

The second option involves partially loose hair. Consider the execution technique.

  • Comb your hair and parting to the side.
  • Our hairstyle will be located on the back of the head. To simplify the situation, visually divide the hair in this part into 4 squares.
  • We collect strands from the left squares to the middle and fix with invisibles. Then we form a small bunch of them.
  • Strands from the upper right square are twisted into a tight tourniquet and laid around the beam. We fix with hairpins.
  • Strands of the lower right corner with the help of varnish are laid on top of the beam, hiding it. Outwardly, it has the form of a wave. We fix this with studs.
  • To strengthen the hairstyle and give it oriental shades, we supplement it with one decorative Chinese wand. Our hairstyle is ready. It remains to comb the remaining hair.

Business style

The very hairstyles that you can do in the office, to work. Such hairstyles have a predominantly classic look and do not allow loose, uncleaned hair. For the popular “Shells” you will need to do the following.

  • Carefully comb the hair and collect in the tail approximately in the middle of the head.
  • We take 2 Chinese sticks and collect the entire tail by wrapping. To do this, grab the tip of the tail with your chopsticks, like a clip, and curl your hair. Make sure that you get an elongated roller. If everything is done correctly, then the roller will lie in place of the tail.
  • We fix with studs and varnish. We decorate with a pair of decorative pins with pendants.

For the second option, we need a Chinese long hairpin, working on the principle of clamping. The technique is as follows.

  • The hair is thoroughly combed, an offset parting is done (use mousse or gel to save styling).
  • All strands and bangs are collected in a ponytail on the back of the head, while maintaining a parting. On top of the gum (preferably a small one), it is stabbed with a hairpin.
  • Next, divide the tail into 2 parts and wrap the hairpin and the base of the tail in the resulting strands of the figure eight. We fix each revolution with hairpins.
  • Carefully take out the hairpin, push it over the weave.

At an official event

It can be a concert, reception, or meeting in a restaurant. For the first option, take the low beam as the basis. As an ornament we will use decorative hairpins in the form of birds and flowers. The technique is as follows.

  • Our hairstyle is closer to the neck. All curls from the frontal and temporal parts must be carefully combed, leaving a small offset parted.
  • Divide all hair into 3 equal parts.
  • From the middle part we form a tail, which with the help of a small bagel we turn into a bundle. We fix it with studs.
  • Curls from the remaining two parts are casually stacked around the base of the beam and on its top to hide what we took as a basis.
  • We fix everything with varnish and hairpins. On the one hand, at the base of the beam, we fix decorative flowers and a hair clip with a bird.

The second option is done like this.

  • Our hairstyle is located on the back of the head. We comb the hair there without leaving a parting. To give volume on the crown, we put a special sponge there.
  • Visually divide all hair into 3 parts: right, left and top (already removed).
  • From the right side we form a bunch, like a shell (make a tail, twist it and fix it with a roller or sticks).
  • We comb the left part to the shell and fix it with invisible ones. The tail is laid on top of the shell to hide it. Fasten with studs. The rest of the tail is curled using a curling iron.
  • You can decorate such a hairstyle with chopsticks with pendants and strings of pearls.

To a stylized event

At such a party you need to come "fully armed". You can’t get off with variations of beams. But this does not mean that the hairstyle should be difficult to perform. The main element will be a braid. We need a set of two sticks and a comb (or a large two-toothed stud).

The execution technique is this.

  • We collect all the hair from the frontal and occipital parts in a high tail.
  • Pass 2 sticks with pendants through the base of the tail so that the pendants are on different sides.
  • Then divide the resulting tail into 8 equal parts.
  • Weave the braid as follows: take 2 strands from the tail and wrap them around the sticks on opposite sides of the tail, the third strand will be from the hair left.
  • Each pair of ponytail strands (we have 4 pairs) must be wrapped symmetrically around the sticks and woven into a braid. It is necessary to weave the entire mass of hair. To make the structure more stable, fix the strands with hairpins.
  • The braid remaining from below can be laid out as a flower.
  • We fix the comb at the base of the tail to hide it.

The second option for a theme party is very simple. We need one Chinese hairpin.

The technique is as follows.

  • We collect all the hair in a ponytail on the back of the head, but do not intercept with an elastic band.
  • Wrap the hairpin attached to the tail from above. Then wrap the hairpin again from the bottom.
  • We remove the tip of the tail inside the resulting structure. Fasten with small studs. We take out a large hairpin and poke it so that it is horizontal relative to the head.

How to decorate?

National jewelry in China has a long history. Each ruling dynasty had its own style and its own "totem" image. For example, the Ming dynasty was remembered for the fact that it provided a clear delineation of rank jewelry. The emperor and the inner circle wore ornaments in the form of dragons, and the empress and concubines adornments in the form of a phoenix bird. In addition, the style of jewelry was different depending on the province and the traditions of the family.

Generally speaking, then hairstyles were decorated literally for everyone: natural flowers, feathers, pearl strings, pendants, decorative hairpins, scallops and large two-toothed hairpins, ribbons, tiaras, hairpins, cobwebs of precious metals, crowns and figures carved from bones and stone. All this can be used to create hairstyles today.

A variety of jewelry will make the hairstyle original and feminine. And innovative materials will greatly ease its weight.

Interesting examples

The hairstyle is based on the classic style in the Greek style. Hair is gathered at the base of the head and curled. A roller was used to add volume. The styling is done quite casually. The hairstyle is complemented by a small diadem and hairpins with pendants.

A casual hairstyle with a scarf and a Chinese hairpin. This hairstyle is simple in execution, reliable and unusual. A scarf can be completely replaced with a tape, with its subsequent weaving into a braid.

In a traditional Chinese wealthy family, girls were necessarily taught dancing. It was not just art within the home. Colorful competitions were held between the dancers. Then the best girls danced on holidays for the emperor. Thus, the dance was a peculiar way of the family to show the girl. Accordingly, somewhat different requirements were imposed on hairstyles. They were simpler, more reliable and more durable.

As a rule, part of the hair remained uncleaned. Hairstyles with hair removed are traditionally complemented by years. The basis of modern hairstyles in the Chinese style, you can take a braid, bun or 2 buns. The main emphasis in this case is on rich jewelry. But do not overburden your hair with stones so that the girl is comfortable.

At the heart of the hairstyle are two braids of three-strand weaving. Hair is separated by a clear parting. Hair is treated with styling tools necessary for specific curls. Braids are laid in a circle. The hairstyle is not complemented by decorations, but you can add them if you wish.

When weaving braids, it can be supplemented with pearl threads and ribbons.

Another example using a beam. The basis is a large bagel, which is entwined with an oblique. The tip of the braid is removed under the bagel. Hair treated with mousse. Hairstyle does not require additional jewelry.
