The main thing in the slow cooker is the bowl, because it is she who participates in the preparation of dishes. Different types of bowls have different properties. The need to purchase a new bowl can arise not only when the old one has worn out, but also when there is a need to have 2 replaceable ones. For different models of multicookers, you can choose different bowls - both in volume and in the type of inner coating.

Features of choice

Each model has its own tanks, differing in:

  • volume;
  • diameter and height;
  • the presence of dimensional divisions;
  • internal coating material;
  • handles and clamps.

Sure, capacity is one of the main and obvious parameters that distinguish multicooker bowls. The most common are five-liter bowls, but in general the volume varies from 2 to 7 liters. Small copies are optimal for 1-2 people, but if you have a large family, it is better to purchase a slow cooker with a larger bowl.

What is a good scale with marks? You can calculate the required number of products for soups, cereals, roasts or just cereals. The manufacturer is also important, because the quality of the manufactured product depends on its reputation. The more reliable the manufacturer, the longer the bowl will last, and the more convenient it is to operate.

That what is the cup covered inside, depends on the purpose of the multicooker and on what it is planned to cook in it - fry, cook, stew, bake, or do everything all at once. There are models in which the design can provide for several cups - for different operating modes.Also, manufacturers are developing universal cups that can be selected for various models of multicookers.

If you know for sure that you will need a removable bowl, it is better to buy it immediately with a slow cooker, so that you do not subsequently look for a compatible one.

Production material

All multicooker bowls are aluminum, the difference is only in the internal additional coating. By type of coating, they are as follows.

  • Not covered by anything. The material for their manufacture is aluminum or stainless steel. They are immune to mechanical stress, durable, but dishes often burn.
  • Non-stick. This is primarily about teflon - this coating is most often used as an internal one. It does not interact with food, evenly distributes heat during cooking. But it quickly erases, especially if you do not use metal appliances - forks, knives. Teflon is also very susceptible to temperature extremes.
  • Ceramic. Such products can withstand high temperatures without emitting toxic compounds. But ceramics are fragile, it must be handled very carefully.

Each type has its own advantages - those made of metal keep the balance best of all, and those coated with teflon are more convenient than others. Of course, there are no such instances that would not have any advantages, since each manufacturer of household appliances is constantly working to improve the quality of their goods.

How to choose bowls for multicookers?

Compatibility plays a big role not only in terms of bowl size, but also in other parameters. To correctly choose one to the other, you need to consider the height, volume and diameter. If the bowls of your model are not available, it makes sense to look for a compatible one of the same brand or another. For perfect compatibility of the tank with the multicooker, their matching in size and basic characteristics is necessary.

To pick up a bowl, you need to measure its height, diameter, and the volume is known initially. Such information is contained in the passport of the multicooker, and if it is lost, you can simply measure the capacity. This can be done simply and quickly, only a ruler is required. What you need to measure:

  • diameter - it is measured using an ordinary ruler in the region as wide as possible (if the width is not the same);
  • height - it needs to be measured from the lowest point on the outer edge to the top point of the bowl, it is also necessary to take into account the height of the lid;
  • form - the external side is also taken into account, the tightness of the multicooker and the taste of the prepared food depend on it.

Compatibility table

As already noted, the removable container must be fully placed in the multicooker and allow it to be closed for the cooking period. If the bowl is smaller than the original, it will receive less heat from the heating element. This cannot but affect the speed and quality of cooking. A bowl with a large diameter or volume simply does not fit in a slow cooker or will interfere with the tight closing of the lid.

It is important to know that coincidence in the main parameters does not guarantee compatibility, as there are multicookers that only work correctly with accessories of their brand. A suitable container will be found in this case only from the same manufacturer as the multicooker itself.

You need to carefully study the source data specified in the instruction manual of your unit, so as not to buy a container that is not suitable for you. Especially if you buy expensive - ceramic or PTFE coated.

Types of bowls

The list of bowls with which you can replace containers that have become unusable in different models of multicookers can always be supplemented, since new modifications are periodically issued. They, in turn, are compatible with various other capacities. Therefore, in order to avoid unpleasant situations it’s better if you picked up a suitable bowl and before buying made sure that it is compatible with your multicooker.

If everything matches, and the bowl is tightly sealed at the edges and in the area of the heating element, then you can buy it. Before using the device, the container must be thoroughly washed, dried outside and inside.

There are several lines of containers for multicookers.

  • "Eco" - there is no coverage, the most budget option. Suitable for cooking any dishes.
  • "Classic" - coating only inside.
  • Premium - coating on both sides (black inside, and silver-bronze on the outside or similarly black).
  • "Proff G1" - the material of manufacture is aluminum, inside is covered with a layer of stainless steel. The coating is one-sided.
  • "Budget" - double-sided coating, non-stick. The base coating contains ftoroplast.
  • Kerama - as the name implies, the bowls are made of ceramic, the inner coating is of low-temperature glass enamel with fluoroplastic. Outside they are covered with a release layer also with fluoroplastic or not covered at all. Capacities have excellent resistance, are poorly susceptible to abrasion. They are easy to wash.

Most manufacturers with a good reputation and long-standing presence in the household appliance market offer the entire list of bowls, so the selection can be made not only in accordance with the parameters, but also in accordance with the desired container coating. For example, if you need several interchangeable containers for replacement, you can purchase one “unkillable” one, the other more expensive (you can stop at an eco-bowl and ceramic). In the first one it will be possible to cook everyday dishes, and in the second - pastries, cereals.
