Pasabahce cookware: description, advantages and disadvantages

Recently, buyers are increasingly paying attention to imported brands of dishes. And if earlier glassware was usually brought from the Czech Republic, now it is a fairly wide geography of supplies. One of the worthy competitors to Czech manufacturers is the glass company Pasabahce (Pashabahce) from Turkey.

In 1935, the country's first glass factory was built in the town of Pashabahce near Istanbul. Machines from Czechoslovakia and Belgium became the basis of production, and with them the Turks adopted the best traditions of glass production.

The equipment changed over time, new technologies were introduced, and since 1969 the company has been producing crystal glassware. The brand constantly participates in international exhibitions, opens its branded stores in European capitals, and exports products to the United States. Since 2000, the Russian representative office of the company has been operating in Moscow, as well as small production in the region. Products are sold under the additional Borcam brand.

In 1991, the technology for extending the stem of the glass was improved, which made the dishes more durable and original.

Quality and design are the main advantages of Pasabahce products. Designers of the brand constantly come up with unusual solutions or rethink the classic forms of dishes. The holding's capabilities, which includes several factories with manual and machine-made glass products, make it possible to achieve minimal fragility of products.

Plate sets are Pasabahce's most popular home cookware products. They are classic white (round and rectangular), which most often order cafes and restaurants from this brand. But consumers most liked the wide selection of color plates.

There are large and small monophonic sets (one of the most popular colors is green), and there are many options with different patterns. For example, with images of plants, wavy and geometric patterns, copies of folk paintings. The technology of photo printing on glass is also used, thanks to which Pasabahce produces plates with landscapes. Separately, we can distinguish children's series with cartoon characters.

Crystal relief plates are also popular. They are made with an arbitrary patterned relief or with an imitation of the imprint of the leaves. Fish dishes can follow the shape of the fish itself or depict a sea shell.

Bakeware is still a little-known but noteworthy line of Pasabahce production. This dish differs from its analogues in the following advantages:

• high-quality heat-resistant glass;
• glass high cover;
• smooth and embossed sides;
• the presence of pens;
• many shapes and sizes;
• low cost.

It is worth noting that rectangular shapes are much more convenient to use than oval. They allow you to remove individual pieces of casserole, leaving them beautiful in appearance.

Thanks to original leg extension technology, Pasabahce glasses are taller than other manufacturers. Such a product can be held with two hands, and a sturdy leg serves as a support for a large volume. As a rule, glasses are made of transparent glass and are sold, like plates, in sets or one at a time.

Separately, glasses can be noted that repeat the size and purpose of the classic, but have clearly defined angles. Such rectangular dishes go well with the Art Nouveau style and help create the appropriate atmosphere at the festive table.

Pasabahce also has colored glasses. It is worth noting sets for wine, in which the leg of each item is painted in its own color. Such a rainbow looks very original on the table, and the guests will definitely not mix up their glasses: each one is different from the others. At the same time, a single style remains sustained.

The Imperial Black series includes sets of wine glasses for which the legs are painted in deep black. Wine glasses are well suited for art nouveau design.

Among Pasabahce's products are many unusual solutions. For instance, model 28106N dish is a flat plate with a transparent cover in the form of a cap. A hole has been made on the cap on one side so that air can penetrate. Such dishes are not intended for long-term storage of food, but for serving hot dishes, and it will undoubtedly become a remarkable object on the festive table.

You can also note the numerous containers for oil, which are made in the form of jugs in oriental style. If it weren’t for the transparent glass, one would think that the genie lives inside: the design in which the hand of Turkish masters is felt is so authentic. The minus of the products is the narrow neck of some models, which is why it is not very convenient to wash them manually. The company also produces sauces, however they are usually without lids and have a wide open neck.

Some models of drinking water bottles that lack thread are also justifiably criticized, and the rubber base for the cap is very ill-conceived. Such bottles are limited in use, they can not be carried with you. Moreover, they are resistant to boiling water, unlike glass decanters of many other manufacturers. There are also a number of other utensils with rubber lid fastening, such as sugar bowls. And, obviously, this is one of the few weak spots of the company's products.

Most often, buyers note an excellent combination of price and quality. Pasabahce is one of the most budgetary brands, but the quality of products is much higher than analogues in this price segment.

People like that brand dishes can be used not only in the oven, but also in the microwave, and even in the freezer at temperatures up to -40 °. It is easy to wash by hand, as there are no extra parts and hard to reach places, or in the dishwasher. Containers and baking dishes are marked as excellent dishes for long-term storage of products. However, consumers indicate that water bottles and gravy boats are inconvenient to use.
