Many live by the principle of Bender - "do not make a cult of food." And it’s hard to convince a person who is used to making tea in a bag in a minute that instead of a quick cup on the run, you can enjoy a truly well-brewed drink in a beautiful bowl. And does anyone need to prove it, if there are enough lovers of beautiful tea parties? And they probably have a teapot heated by a candle. And if not yet - it makes sense to look at a useful acquisition.

A bit of history

Teapots appeared a very long time ago: in China, in the XIV century, according to artifacts, an object arose that is still associated with tea drinking. Before the invention of the kettle, cups were used, and a noble drink was brewed in them. The leaves were kneaded, thrown into a cup and poured with boiling water.

Externally, the first teapots for brewing did not look particularly special: small vessels of red clay, however, capable of passing air. But the device itself was expensive, because the longer the liquid is inside, the richer the taste of tea. In Europe, only after 3 centuries did teapots appear.

Even then there were teapots with a stand, but they were not of great value.

And only when porcelain or glass teapots began to be imported from China, did they seriously increase in price.

Heated Kettle Device

There is no particular trick to be found in the device itself: in appearance, a teapot with a heating candle can resemble an aroma lamp. The candle will heat the air inside the container, it will prevent the cooling of the liquid. And the functions of the candle end there: it only allows you to maintain the temperature, but not to raise it, not to warm the contents of the kettle.

Although no, there is another function of such a device - aesthetic. Glass teapot with a candle looks romantic and sophisticated, and if you want to turn a standard tea party into a spiritual conversation or relaxation, such teapots are an excellent tool.

During the heating process, the flame cannot touch the bottom of the dishes, otherwise it will negatively affect the taste of the tea, the kettle will quickly fail.

And if the material is not heat-resistant, you can say goodbye to the kettle. That's why manufacturers make deep and tall coasters with special candles at the bottom.

Used to heat candles in sleeves, they are called tea. You can buy the simplest, cheapest candles, but you can find colored candles with sparkles, scented candles. It all depends on how you see the process of tea drinking, what aromas you like. Experiments help you find the best option.

Tea Set Selection

When buying a heated kettle, it is immediately difficult to decide which set to buy: you can buy a transparent glass teapot, or you can buy a ceramic one with an interesting pattern.

Characteristics

  • Glass attract with its transparency. Lightweight, seemingly weightless material, allows someone who drinks tea to admire the processes taking place in the tank: the play of color and light, the flow of tea leaves and various fillings - this is also a pleasure for the esthete. For the manufacture of such dummies, heat-resistant glass is used, and if the glass is tempered, then even temperature changes are not afraid of it.
  • Ceramic teapots are distinguished by high-quality, uniform heating. The most attractive in this group are porcelain teapots - they are the lightest and most elegant. The ceramics will be rougher, but, for example, in the country interior and Provence, the ceramics will be organic. Earthenware makes the product more fragile, but it looks beautiful.
  • Cast iron teapots. They are the heaviest, but also the most heat-consuming. Even without heating, they can maintain temperature for a long time. But if you have a stand, then the kettle will not cool for two hours. A very convenient option for lovers of long tea parties.

All options are worth considering, it is difficult to refuse aesthetics to at least one of them. It all depends on what kind of kitchen the kettle will go to, in which interior it will “live”.

What should be the stand?

Material matching is an optional condition. But external compatibility and compatibility in size are mandatory. Finally, it is important that the kettle and stand have temperature compatibility. Usually, heat-resistant glass heaters come with a glass teapot. And this is convenient: a transparent stand does not interfere with the view, through it the candle itself and its flame are visible. But the stand should be reinforced with a metal insert - this will improve the safety and durability of the device.

In addition, a glass teapot can be combined with stand bases made of ceramics and stainless steel.

It looks very nice with a ceramic heater filter strainer inside a glass teapot. An interesting combination will be wood and steel. But cast iron with glass is almost incomparable, because there are no such combinations. Only cast iron is suitable for cast iron. By the way, such teapots are often designed not strictly for a candle, but also for hot coal.

Stand Options

  • Spherical bowl. At the top of the tank is closed with a lid with holes. There may also be a wide neck in terms of bottom parameters. If the model is made of cast iron, it is low, while the coasters of glass and porcelain are higher.
  • A heart with a place for a candle in the middle. This option is good for everyone, but you cannot replace the candle without first removing the kettle from the stand. But ideally, replacing a candle cannot violate the integrity of the structure for even a minute.

If you like practical models in a minimalistic solution, choose the stainless steel stand option.

Usually they are adapted to different sizes of the bottom.Very interesting models of coasters and from the cast-iron series: they are stylized retro, look like family familiar values.

Models for patina and copper are authentic and self-sufficient, such long will not go out of fashion.

Tea Party and Etiquette

To purchase a kettle with a spectacular stand for heating - not yet organize a beautiful tea drinking procedure. Important serve, which really raises the appetite, sets the conversation and rest. The differences between a teapot with a candle stand and a traditional teapot are not so great that etiquette describes this item in a special way.

Tea Party Rules:

  • they hold the cup only by the ear; you don’t need to put your finger in the ear;
  • a stirring spoon is placed on a saucer or rests on its edge;
  • any decor for tea drinking (children are sometimes served with straws and umbrellas even for tea), the guest can leave for himself;
  • they don’t drink tea from a spoon, it is needed only for stirring sugar;
  • blowing tea is not worthwhile publicly - as long as the drink cools, you can just chat with the guests.

As for teapots with a stand, it makes sense to light a candle already at the table.

While you are carrying the kettle, it can go out, slip out, etc. Have a couple more sleeve candles in stock in case the tea party drags on and you have to change the heating.

If you are making tea yourself or making hot tea lemonade, then a teapot with a candle is ideal for serving it. Behind the glass walls of the product, berries and slices of citrus fruits, herbs and spices will circulate. Brewing itself becomes a small creative act, which guests are pleased to see. A good option in case the guests are on the doorstep (and unexpectedly), and you manage to quickly arrange only a tea party.

Take the basic black or green tea, add to it two or three slices of orange, a circle of lemon, raspberries and halves of strawberries, currant or mint leaves. And bring all this brewed beauty to the table: in a glass teapot, which will be heated in a special stand by an aromatic (or ordinary) candle. Guests will enjoy such a presentation and want to try a picturesque drink faster, and you can be proud that even spontaneous visitors will not take you by surprise.
