How to make a jumpsuit from old jeans with your own hands?

Jeans are a truly universal thing. They are not only incredibly convenient and practical, but also able to serve us for several more years, after they are pretty worn out. What people did not come up with old jeans! Shorts, skirts, bags, children's dresses - and that's not all, because the fantasy of needlewomen knows no bounds.

Today we will tell you about how to turn old jeans into an original jumpsuit. Overalls are comfortable clothes for the summer, which are loved by both adult girls and the smallest women of fashion. Our tips will help you make a pattern, sew and decorate the jumpsuit so that it looks like a stylish designer thing.

If you are an experienced seamstress, then you can make a pattern yourself, as it is very simple. For beginner needlewomen, we advise you to use any pattern you like from a magazine for cutting and sewing. A huge number of such patterns can be found on the Internet, on specialized sites devoted to needlework.

You will need to prepare the following details:

• coquette (4 pcs);
• lower parts of the bodice (4 pieces);
• turning of the upper cut;
• patch pockets (optional).

Consider the process of tailoring overalls from old jeans using the example of a children's model. If you are not confident in your own abilities, it is recommended to start learning new tricks from children's things, as they will take less materials and time.

For work, we need:

• jeans;
• material for the top (it can be denim or any other dense fabric);
• threads in tone;
• cutting scissors;
• crayon or remnant;
• a set of pins for grinding;
• tape measure;
• sewing machine;
• decorations for decor.

Working process:

• Transfer the selected pattern to the fabric and cut out all the details.
• We sew together the parts of the front part in two: sew the yoke to the bottom. If you want to add overalls with patch pockets and belt loops, you need to sew them at this stage of work.
• Further, according to the same principle, we sew together parts of the rear part.
• Now you need to connect the two halves of the jumpsuit. Stitch them at the side seams, then flash them on a typewriter.
• On the lower edge of the front cut, sew a stitched cuff from another material. If the main material of the product is not jeans, it is better to make a stitch out of denim.
• We sew step seams. To make the jumpsuit look more effective, try to make a line similar to that made by jeans manufacturers.
• The next step is to sew parts of the overalls along the seam of the seat. In the front part, leave 10 cm free. We seam allowances on the seam, then smooth them in the back and smooth them in front.
• Then we move on to the straps. We will sew them from denim. We will sew straps to the back, and we will attach special fasteners to the front.
• Now, with the help of a pre-prepared grind, we connect the parts of the front and rear parts along the side seams. We make the side seams, sections of the fasteners and the bottom of the trim.
