To acquire a stylish image, it is not necessary to completely repaint the hair and thereby significantly worsen their condition. It will be enough to lighten the ends of the hair or even two or three strands.
Features
Lightening hair only in the end zone has numerous advantages. Coloring in most cases does not require the preliminary elimination of yellowness or the implementation of tone leveling procedures. Partial discoloration looks very stylish and is still in trend. This technique is used for hair of any length and almost any shade - both dark and blond curls can get light tips. In addition, you can lighten your hair using different colors - both natural and extravagant like bright pink.
Lightening is carried out rather quickly and does not require abundant use of paints. If the resulting hairstyle is not to your liking, it will be enough to simply cut off the ends of the hair, and after a while the hair will return to its original state. Finally, the procedure does not bring much harm to the entire hair, since only a small part of the hair is exposed to chemical attack.
However, this procedure is still contraindicated to owners of split ends or weakened locks. Under the influence of chemicals, their condition will deteriorate even more. Wanting to do this procedure, first you need to take care of restoring the hair.
Blondes are advised to choose amber and red colors, brown-haired women give purple, and brunettes choose various shades of red from purple to brown.Dark-haired young ladies are still recommended to pre-bleach the ends, and then proceed to painting.
The transition between shades of hair should seem as natural as possible so that the transitions are not noticeable. Paint should be applied to the locks on all sides, so that each hair turns out to be sufficiently stained. Wherein total processing time cannot exceed a quarter of an hour - otherwise the color will be uneven.
In addition, it should be remembered that the duration of the dye in the diluted state is limited to 40 minutes. If you do not use the tool immediately, then the procedure itself will lose all meaning.
The clarified tips are most suitable for owners of short or medium hair, especially with a graduated haircut. Stylists do not particularly recommend doing this procedure on long straight strands, as often the effect of untidiness and cheapness occurs.
If earlier the hair was already dyed, then without bleaching it cannot be lightened, and therefore a more traumatic procedure will be required. Blondes can even confine themselves to a tonic, which, despite the short duration, will still create the desired result.
Brunettes, brown-haired and redheads will have to choose stronger means.
Types of Technician
The three main techniques for coloring the ends of the hair are ombre, balayazh and dip dye.
Ombre considered the most famous technique, the essence of which is that the color harmoniously shifts from the base dark shade to light in the area of the tips. In this case, two more colors are additionally used. The hair colored in this way looks very natural and lively - the color of the lock "plays" in the light and shimmers.
Balayazh similar to ombre, but the process of color change occurs from the middle of the hair, and not along its entire length. In addition, several strands in the face are emphasized.
Dip dye popular with young girls, as this technique looks slightly sloppy and very bright. It looks as if the ends of the hair were simply dipped in paints of different colors, not caring for smooth transitions and observing the gradient. Shades are always taken flashy and non-standard.
How to prepare curls?
Preparation of hair for clarification begins in about a couple of months. It is at this moment that the use of nourishing and regenerative masks without sulfate and harmful impurities begins, the use of natural oils and rinsing with herbal solutions. Such care will improve the condition of the locks so that they can survive the chemical effect. Thinning should be minimal or, in general, absent. A couple of days before lightening, do not wash your hair.
As already mentioned, brunettes should think about the bleaching procedure.
Step-by-step instruction
Professional coloring of the tips is quite expensive, so it makes sense to learn this procedure at home. To successfully carry out the procedure, it will be correct prepare in advance all the required materials and tools. The dye may be a finished paint or a coloring powder with an oxidant. The number of shades used is determined depending on the chosen technique. It is better to dilute the solution in a plastic container, and apply it with a brush or a convenient sponge.
In addition, you need a comb with rare teeth and a sharp end for convenient separation of the locks, the usual rubber bands and clips made of plastic, as well as foil. You can protect your clothes with an unnecessary t-shirt or shirt, and your hands with disposable rubber gloves.
Making ombre at home begins with the fact that all hair is divided into three equal sections, which are fixed with elastic bands. First, the tips of the side parts are coated with paint, and then the middle part. Treated hairs are wrapped in foil and left for 30 minutes.Half an hour later, the hair is washed with a warm shower using shampoo. After drying the hairs a little, it is necessary to apply a small amount of dye in the transition zone to make the borders less clear. This time, the paint lasts about 10 minutes, and then washed off in the same way.
In the second case, the treatment procedure begins with the fact that the hair at the roots is covered with a dark shade. Ten minutes later, the same composition is distributed to the middle of the hair. Finally, the ends of the hair are covered with a light shade and wrapped in foil. After sustaining the time specified in the instructions, the head should be washed, using shampoo and balm.
The use of the balayazh technique is slightly different when used on medium-length hair and short locks. Coloring equally long hair begins with the fact that the entire hair is divided in half using a vertical parting. Paint is applied to the ends of the locks, which are then wrapped in foil.
As soon as the shade changes to light, it is recommended to immediately comb the hairs of the comb with rare teeth - this will make the transition between colors invisible. Then the foil is closed back, and hair treatment continues until the end of the time specified in the instructions. The head is washed with shampoo and conditioner for colored curls.
Lightening hair with a graduated haircut is easier to do when the locks are gathered in a high tail, and their ends are at the same level. It would be good to protect the rest of the hair with foil or a bag in order to avoid dripping paint. The ends of the curls in the tail are painted and, if desired, are wrapped in foil.
After the time specified in the instructions, the hair is washed with shampoo and conditioner.
Short strands should be combed first so that the tips look up, and it’s better to even fix them with varnish. Part of the paint used is applied to the foil, which is then processed hair. Instead of foil, you can use your fingers, and directly paint them in the right places. After sustaining the required time, the head must be washed with shampoo and conditioner.
Dip dye staining is similar.but girls who want to flaunt only a few days with bright tips can use a less traumatic way. For example, it will be enough to color the locks with special crayons or colored powder.
Although the color will last until the first shampoo, the use of such methods is simple, which means that you can change the shades at least every week.
The ends will be painted with food coloring of the desired shade. For the procedure, you need a white balm, a bowl with a brush and the dye itself. A couple of bags of pigment and 100 grams of the product are mixed in a container, after which they are applied to the necessary areas of hair and, if desired, are twisted into foil. About half an hour later, the paint can be removed.
Do not forget about the possibility of lightening hair with hydrogen peroxide in the case when you want to do without paint. Only a 3% agent is allowed to be used, since stronger solutions will greatly harm the curls. For processing, you will need a vessel with a spray, clamps, a comb, cotton pads, a towel to protect clothes, foil, shampoo and balm. In addition, it is recommended to use safety glasses and gloves. Before starting work, the hair should be washed and dried with a towel, as well as untangle all the locks.
The tank is filled with peroxide diluted with ordinary water in a ratio of 1 to 1. In the case when you want to lighten only a couple of strands, you can apply peroxide with a cotton pad. A brightening agent is applied to the hair and left for a period of 45 to 60 minutes. The exact time depends on what the original shade of the hair was, and what you want to get.
It is better to check in half an hour, washing the strands and evaluating the result. If positive, you can wash the entire hair with shampoo and be sure to treat with balm or even a mask.
Peroxide does not always do the job right away, so in a day the procedure will have to be repeated.
You can stimulate staining with hot air, but this advice is relevant only for healthy hair. In addition, while staining is carried out, it makes sense to go out in the sun in order to consolidate the effect.
