The chestnut color is famous for its versatility and looks great in different shades. One of the most popular is the tone of frosty chestnut, which, thanks to Hollywood celebrities, has been trending for several years. This shade was first introduced to the general public in 2013, since then it has gained a large number of fans around the world.

Frosty chestnut is the coldest version of brown hair and contains a rich base of green pigment. Thanks to his presence, the strands acquire ashy notes that reduce the warmth of a classic chestnut to nothing. Very often, this shade is used as a transitional color when dyeing black hair with brown hair, and also after unsuccessful dyeing, if necessary, to neutralize too bright copper or red curls.

Ash shade on brown hair requires careful selection of haircuts, always clean and well-groomed hair. Otherwise, it will look dull and unsightly, visually adding a few extra years.

Also, the original hair color should be considered. For example, it is better for blondes not to risk it, not to stain immediately in a frosty chestnut. This is due to the presence of pigment in the dye, which on fair hair can give not an ashen, but a greenish tint, it can be removed only by repainting in a darker color.

If you want to get a light shade, then you can limit yourself to mousses, which are abundantly present in the lines of these companies. If you need to paint over gray hair, the amount of which exceeded 50% of the total hair volume, then the optimal solution would be resistant paint frosty chestnut, which is also present in their assortment.

If a frosty chestnut is absolutely unsuitable for type, and you really want to become the owner of such a shade, you can consider a lightweight version with the presence of highlighted strands. In such cases, the choice of highlight color is carried out taking into account the individual characteristics of appearance, they are guided by the color of the skin, native hair and eyes. So, for owners of milky white skin with a lack of blush on their cheeks, strands of the color ashen blond are quite suitable.

This shade harmonizes very well with frosty chestnut, but adds even more “cold” to the look of a woman. In addition to light ash tones, copper, caramel, red and light brown shades can be used for highlighting, which are quite suitable for women with dark skin and a "warm" type of appearance.

Colored hair needs delicate care using natural products. The optimal composition for washing your hair will be a nutrient solution prepared from 2 tsp. dried lavender, the same amount of rosemary, 6 cloves and 0.5 l of water. The components are placed in a small saucepan, brought to a boil and cooked over low heat for 5 minutes. The resulting broth is cooled, filtered, mixed with three tablespoons of shampoo and washed. Such a composition can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.

To rinse your hair, use an infusion of two handfuls of dried walnut leaves and 0.5 l of water. To prepare it, the leaves are poured with boiling water and insisted for 40 minutes. Next, the composition is cooled, filtered and rinsed with brown hair after each wash.
