High-quality German Wusthof knives are considered to be one of the best in terms of functionality and design. The unique technology of their manufacture allows products to occupy a leading position in the hearts of world lovers of exquisite culinary art.

About company

The Wusthof family-owned thin steel business has existed since 1814, and was founded by Abraham Wusthof in Solingen. The company is currently known as ED. Wüsthof Dreizackwerk KG, headed by the heirs of the 7th generation surnames - Viola and Harald Wüsthof.

In 1895, a company trademark was registered in Berlin - the Poseidon trident (Dreizack), symbolizing the three principles of the enterprise concept - passion, zeal and excellence.

For more than two centuries of existence, Wusthof products have gained a reputation as a manufacturer of quality and functional premium knives.

The company's production facilities include 3 innovative plants with a total area of about 22,000 m2, located in the city of Solingen, called the "city of blades".

Production technology

The excellence of Wusthof manufacturing technology does not stand still, and in 2010 the company introduced the innovative Precision Edge Technology tool sharpening technology. The essence of this technology allows ultra-precise robotic systems to simulate the angle of blade sharpening, resulting in blades sharpened at 28 degrees (with the past 40 degrees).And thinner blades provide the highest level of initial cutting performance and maintain their sharpness for a long time.

Wusthof multifunctional German knives are made from a single piece of high-quality carbon-enriched stainless steel hardened to a hardness of 58 on the Rockwell scale. Computer simulation of blades allows you to make well-balanced tools that ideally lie in the hand.

For the handles used non-slip plastic, resistant to corrosion, as well as black African wood.

Collections and Assortment

Most of the collections of Wusthof blades are made in a calm and concise style. Their simple shapes and colors are perfectly combined and give products of European elegance and sophistication.

For each subject, a special structure of the blade is used, justified by the scope of its application. Varied in style and purpose, Wusthof kitchen knives are available in several popular collections.

Xline

Thanks to the Full Tang design, maximum comfort and balance are achieved, and the high quality of sharpening ensures maximum inventory functionality.

    The Ikon line contains three collections of cutting items: Ikon, Classic Ikon, and Ikon Cream White, which vary in color and grip materials. In the Ikon series, the knife handles are made of African ebony, and in the Classic Ikon collection the handles are black in synthetic material; Ikon Cream White knives have synthetic cream rivet handles. Grand Prix II, Grand Prix II Color Collections

        These collections combine maximum performance and bright stylish design. Blades are made of strong hardened steel, plastic anti-slip handles and ultra-sharp blades complement the design balance. A distinctive feature of the Grand Prix II Color knives is that the color of the handles corresponds to a specific product: meat - a tool with a red handle, vegetables - with green, fish - with blue, bird - with yellow. The collection includes more than 20 different blades and is in the average price range.

          A universal set of blades of this collection will be a wonderful gift for true connoisseurs of culinary art and amateurs.

          Ruler Le Cordon Bleu

          It was developed in conjunction with specialists from the British Culinary Academy. Outwardly, the blades of this collection are identical to the Classic line, however they are almost 30% lighter than classic models, which makes them as convenient as possible for long-term work in a professional kitchen.

            Wusthof Gourmet Collection

            The knives from this collection have a simpler configuration and significantly lower cost compared to others. Tool handles are made of high quality black polypropylene material with rivets. Simple design, functionality, affordable price, a large selection of models (more than 40 types) allow the use of Wusthof Gourmet blades in almost every kitchen.

              Silverpoint knives

              The collection is one of the most affordable. The high-strength blade tip together with environmentally friendly plastic handles create a restrained, but no less attractive style and high functionality.

              Each collection includes blades of various sizes and purposes. The largest is a cook (male) knife or a chef-knife, it has a length of 20 to 25 cm and is intended for most of the culinary work. Universal kitchen daggers 13-16 cm long are more suitable for women and are a combination of the qualities of a cook knife and slicer.

              The Wusthof company produces the main three types of blades, which are included in the set of commonly used knives in the home kitchen:

              • universal chef knife for basic types of work;
              • sorter for slicing bread, cakes, vegetables and fruits;
              • a small knife for "small" work (peeling vegetables, chopping garlic, etc.).

              Among the many positive characteristics and advantages of Wusthof knives, there is only one drawback - their high cost. But if you take into account the considerable price for high-quality and environmentally friendly materials, as well as a very laborious production process, the pricing policy of the company fully justifies itself. After all, the best can not be cheap.

              The company with the Dreizack logo has established itself as a company producing high-quality German Wusthof knives. with a guarantee of long service life and environmental friendliness of production. The company's developers make every effort to ensure that the products meet the needs of customers, as well as international standards of quality and functionality.
