The Russian clothing brand Rasario is in an unpleasant situation. He was caught plagiarizing - copying an outfit, the authorship of which belongs to the French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent (YSL).
The fact that the model of Russian couturiers is very similar to the legendary and, most importantly, a very well-known outfit from French masters was noticed by the annoying and meticulous administrators of the @diet_prada Instagram account, which covers a variety of new items and curiosities of the fashion world.
We are talking about a dress made of a satin pink top, which is fixed on the back with a large pink bow, and a long black velvet skirt.
The Moscow brand Rasario introduced it in its new PF19 collection. In fact, and the photo confirms this, the dress turned out to be the twin brother of the dress called “Paris Rose”, which was presented by Yves Saint Laurent designers at the presentation of the 1983 autumn collection.
The channel’s administrators were indignant at such impudent plagiarism and asked the representatives of the Russian fashion brand to explain why they did this and what they counted on, except that people just don’t remember the legendary dress from France.
It’s hard not to remember - the pink YSL outfit was a recognized reference and easily recognizable, almost the same as Coco Chanel’s little black dress. It has been exhibited more than once in various museums around the world as a landmark. With the permission of Yves Saint Laurent, a year ago, a Barbie doll was dressed up as part of a limited series of toys.
