How we choose partners: scientists have revealed the main secret of romantic relationships

Often people enter into relationships with partners who have similarities with their former partners. The explanation for this was found by scientists from the University of Toronto (Canada). The experiment was attended by 159 men and 173 women. Each of them was asked to name the key features that the partners like.

The experiment began almost 10 years ago. Throughout this time, researchers observed how the subjects' personal lives evolve.

It turned out that people in 97% of cases chose new partners who either externally or by psychological characteristics were very similar to their former partners. That is how several times people are able to "step on the same rake."

And even the negative experience of past relationships cannot force a person to change the idea of what an ideal soulmate should be just for him.

This idea, according to scientists, develops in childhood, and parents make a significant contribution to this process. Daughters of older dads often choose partners much older than themselves, and children born in an interracial marriage more often choose partners of the race that the parent of the opposite sex had.

In addition, the only feature that has been identified is the same - people try to choose a partner for a romantic relationship in accordance with their own level of intelligence.

You can talk about the trends of beauty, fashion, style, the advantages of bald men over hairy, overweight women over thin or vice versa. Each of us will still choose the one who will be like his ex. And this only works.
