On beautiful and well-groomed hands, decorative manicure is not always necessary. Smooth skin and neat nails are much more important than colored nail polish. Manicure masters have two ways to keep their nails and periungual ridges in a decent condition:

  • classic - trim manicure, involving mechanical removal of dead skin through a special tool and further grinding;
  • European - an unedged way of manicure, in which masters use special solvents and an orange stick, the so-called. pusher.

Most often the cuticle grows, which not every girl knows how to clean independently by mechanical means. At home, treating nails with tools is quite difficult, especially with your left hand to do trim manicure on the right.

To the delight of lovers of well-groomed marigolds, many auxiliary chemicals have appeared that facilitate the removal of keratinized particles.

The most popular among them is a cuticle remover, a means for delicately dissolving dead skin. It is also necessary to remove the cuticle without tweezers and to maintain the effect of the well-groomed cuticle. In fact, the product corrodes the “inanimate" layer of the skin, thanks to a low concentration solvent in its composition. A healthy epithelium does not damage the remover, since it is applied exclusively superficially to the cuticle.

Initially, this tool was used to remove gel polish. When it was dissolved, the softening effect of the remover on the cuticle was noticed. After some improvements, based on the already existing remover, they created a more gentle tool directly for performing safe unedged manicure.

This method of emphasizing the cuticle is suitable for owners of sensitive, thin skin with closely spaced vessels, since the use of trimmed manicure is fraught with microporesis and bleeding for them. If the cuticle and periungual ridges grow too actively and have a rough structure, mechanical processing is indispensable. But to maintain the beauty of the processed nails, you can use a delicate remover.

The impact of the remover on the cuticle

When applied to the skin, the product dissolves the dry layer so that it can be easily removed with a pusher. Healthy skin does not come in contact with the chemical composition. But, nevertheless, it is worthwhile to use such means with caution in order to avoid burns, damage to the healthy layer of the cuticle and an allergic skin reaction. It is important to choose only quality products and strictly follow the instructions for its use.

Benefits

  • can be used on sensitive skin of the hands with easily damaged cuticles;
  • a safe tool that does not mechanically damage the skin;
  • simple and convenient application compared to nail clippers;
  • fast processing of cuticle and periungual space;
  • slower and more accurate growth of the cuticle after processing it with a remover, the absence of burrs;
  • easy application and removal from the nail plate;
  • exclusion of infection during the procedure.

disadvantages

Any product with a chemical composition has harmful qualities. Some of them are pretty good, so you should know about them.

  • Remuver is not suitable for people who are allergic to different types of chemicals.
  • Use the tool with extreme accuracy. However, a few drops can still leak onto the nail or under it. This is not useful for the plate and can lead to softening and deformation.
  • Not suitable for treating very rough skin. In this case, the remover can become just the addition of a mechanical manicure and a means of further correction and care.
  • Frequent use of the product (usually once a week) is not allowed due to the risk of irritation or allergies.
  • Do not use if the skin has injuries or dermatological diseases.

Varieties

Removers are different in appearance and texture:

  • creamy;
  • liquid consistency;
  • gel.

Each species has its advantages and disadvantages. Cream remover is convenient in that it is more convenient to apply more accurately. Thus, the spreading of the solvent on the nail is prevented. But the cream needs to be rubbed into the cuticle longer.

Liquid remover spreads on its own, accelerating the process of application and impact on keratinized tissues. But the liquid composition can leak under the nail bed or on it, which will lead to its softening and possible damage.

Also, the remover can be of different composition.

  • Alkaline. The safest tool with the most sparing effect on the nails. It acts after application for half an hour, but also does not harm the nail plate, softening only the skin. Ideal for home use.
  • Acid. The most common type of remover. Such a tool is most often preferred to be used by masters in salons and many lovers of self-care of nails tend to it. The exposure time of the solvent to the keratinized layer of the cuticle is up to 20 seconds. It requires caution, since acids in its composition can lead to thinning of the nail, allergies, itching, redness, irritation.
  • Oil. Compositionally safe with a softening rather than dissolving property. Prepares the skin so that it can be easily pushed away and removed with a pusher.
  • On a mineral basis. A rare tool that exclusively positively affects the condition of the nails, not injuring the plate and skin.

From this it follows that the best option for manicure is an oil remover.And for a high-quality pedicure, an acidic remedy is suitable, given that the skin on the legs is rougher and harder.

For more convenient application, it is better to choose a solvent in a special form jar equipped with an elongated “nose”. This design allows you to distribute the product evenly and act more accurately. The remover with a brush is not inferior in convenience. It not only makes carrying out a home manicure more comfortable, but also saves money.

How to choose?

When choosing a remedy, it is necessary to take into account such features as: the presence of allergic reactions to cosmetic preparations with a chemical composition, skin sensitivity, and the available budget. If you are going to use the remover for the first time, it is better to choose the safest and softest composition. Not knowing the individual reaction to a new drug, it is better to exclude acid removers. It is most reasonable to pre-visit a master who knows what is best to prefer for each type and characteristics of nails.

When buying a remover, like any cosmetic product, it is important to carefully check its expiration date. This should not be taken lightly, since chemicals that have exceeded their shelf life can be hazardous to health after application to the skin. The design of the bottle or tube with a remover is also important. The tool without a dispenser is very difficult to use in practice, especially for beginners manicurists and lovers of home hand care.
