Beautiful manicure is an integral attribute of a stylish well-groomed woman. However, it happens that, having covered your nails with decorative varnish, you suddenly see that it begins to bubble. Then you have to refresh the manicure again. Let us dwell in more detail on the reasons why this happens.
Causes
Specialists in nail decoration claim that even by no means a cheap well-known brand varnish can bubble up at any time, There are a number of reasons for this.
- Shaking the bottle. Many women shake the bottle with varnish vertically, this causes air to enter it, which then leads to the appearance of ugly bubbles.
- Water. If moisture has entered the packaging with a decorative coating, it often causes bubbles to form on the surface.
- By the way, wet hands can also be a frequent cause of bubbles. If you washed your hands shortly before the manicure, then you should dry them as thoroughly as possible - the skin has the ability to absorb water, and after a while it starts to give it back. The same thing happens with the nail plates, an excessive amount of moisture causes an abundant appearance of air bubbles and significantly impairs the appearance of the coating.
- Fat. If your nails were greasy, then you won’t get a good manicure, because the basis of any long-lasting coating can only be carefully fat-free nails. If you do not do this, then it is likely that the varnish will lie very poorly and will go blistering during drying.
- Extra layers. Some women, in an attempt to get the desired shade of varnish, apply too many layers, this contradicts the recommended technology.Ideally, any manicure should include one layer of the base, a couple of layers of a color shade and a fixative. If the number of decorative coatings is greater, especially if they were not well dried, then the appearance of bubbles will be inevitable.
- Wrong technique. Illiterate coating technology can also cause hateful bubbles. Keep in mind that the brush should fit snugly against the nail during staining, it should be held almost parallel to the plate so that the varnish is applied with light strokes from the very base to the end.
- Defects in the nail plate. Any irregularities, cracks, tubercles and peeling have a detrimental effect on the quality of the manicure. Filling such bumps with varnish, the brush often leaves quite a lot of air, and as a result, all the same bubbles.
- Poor quality materials. You should not use the old varnish - it is the place in your bin, and not the nails. During prolonged storage, the liquid thickens and loses all of its original properties, so it lays very poorly. If the varnish has thickened, it makes sense to dilute it with special fluids, but if the expiration date has completely expired, then the result of coating with such a composition, even diluted, will be very doubtful.
What to do if the varnish goes in bubbles?
So, we figured out the reasons. But what if you covered your nails and the varnish started to bubble? The only option is to wash off such a coating and apply a new one. It is possible that when applying you missed one of the aspects and when repeating the manicure will be impeccable. For example, you could have failed to dry and degrease the nails well or apply too many layers.
But there is an alternative option, it is good if you do not have time to update the coating or the varnish is over. Then stickers will save the situation - they can always be fixed exactly in those places where the varnish is too intense to bubble. If such stickers are not at your fingertips, then with a contrasting color composition you can depict a pattern, for example, chaotic abstract patterns with a wooden toothpick or a thin brush.
Even an amateur can cope with this task, and the manicure will turn out unusual, original and stylish.
How to prevent the appearance of bubbles?
So that you don’t have to come up with masking options for unaesthetic bubbles, you just need to follow some simple recommendations.
- Never shake varnish. If you want to warm it up a little, simply roll it a little in your hands or lower it into a container with warm water.
- After use, do not wash the brush in water. It’s pointless, you can’t remove the varnish with water, and the moisture will remain, it will fall into the bottle - the result of this application will be the most deplorable.
- The base for manicure and the main tone is best purchased from one manufacturer. Professionals note that many compositions of different brands are simply incompatible, which leads to varnish detachment, cracking, blistering and other unpleasant consequences. If you don’t have the right foundation, apply a colorless varnish of the right brand instead.
- Do not get involved in drying the varnish with a hairdryer, as many women do. This quickly destroys the entire structure of the composition and causes bubbling of the surface. If you do not have the opportunity to spend time naturally drying the surface - the best ones are to buy a special express dryer, the coating freezes in literally a few seconds.
- If you apply several layers of the main tone at once, then surely dry each of them before applying the next one, only in this case your manicure will become aesthetic and durable.
- Do not forget to grind your nails before applying the varnish, especially if you have an uneven plate with pronounced spots and grooves. Usually, a buff or soft nail file is used for this.
- Pay attention to the shelf life of the composition, even if you just bought it in a store, there is no guarantee that it has not been on the counter for several months. The old composition is losing its characteristics, so it is not possible to get a high-quality coating.
- Do not do a manicure immediately after taking a shower or bath, then the moisture simply does not have time to completely get out of the nails, so air bubbles appear, and not right there, but after a couple of hours after drying, when you can no longer fix the situation.
