- "Stainless steel." The durable product is durable and fits into any interior. Metal perfectly retains heat, so freshly baked bread will retain its freshness and aroma for a long time. However, a stainless steel breadbox is a fairly expensive item.
- Wood. Natural materials are ideal for storing bread. In addition, some tree species have antimicrobial properties. However, wicker bread bins require careful care. Over time, they begin to rot and mold. It is best to purchase a product from neutral wood (birch, ash, linden). Such bread bins do not exude an unpleasant odor and are quite durable.
- Plastic. Bread boxes made of this material are notable for their affordable price and convenient operation. They can have different colors. Including there are transparent plastic bread bins.
- Ceramics. Products look very impressive and elegant. Ceramic bread bins perfectly absorb unpleasant odors, and bakery products retain freshness and aroma for a long time. Also, this material prevents the growth of microorganisms. However, ceramic products are easy to break, and acquiring a new one is quite expensive.

How to make?
To make such a masterpiece you will need patience and some free time. Both beginners and experienced craftsmen can create a bread box of paper tubes.
Products are round or square. Their color will also depend on the individual preferences of the creator.
So, for making a round bread box with your own hands you will need:
- cardboard;
- newspaper sheets;
- PVA glue;
- scissors and office knife;
- awl;
- clothes pegs;
- acrylic paints and varnish.
Before proceeding directly to weaving, need to make tubes from the newspaper. To do this, take a newspaper sheet, fold it lengthwise and cut into oblong stripes. Next, we take a knitting needle and wind a newspaper strip on it. Fix the edges of the tube with glue. The needle is carefully removed. It is advisable to color the tubes before weaving. Acrylic paints are great for these purposes.
We start weaving the bread box from the lid. We take cardboard and cut out an oval-shaped template (10 cm). We fix the workpiece with glue. We prepare newspaper tubes (width 6-7 mm). We place them on the workpiece perpendicular to the main tube, which is located in the center (along the entire length).
We start weaving (one tube comes into another). In the process, to form a smooth oval, gradually add new tubes.
In the final stage we make a bend. We give the edges of the tubes a round shape and remove them with a thin needle inside the workpiece.
When the lid is ready, proceed to create a plate of bread bins. Its size fits under the cover. We cut a round shape out of cardboard, attach a central tube to it and begin weaving by analogy with the lid. We process all the edges of the plate with the same folding as on the lid. We cover the finished bread box with acrylic varnish and let it dry. If desired, the product cover can be decorated with bright napkins, miniature stones and original drawings.
