Wood kitchens in a modern style

With all the abundance of promising materials, natural wood continues to play a very important role. It is also used in kitchens, but in its pure form such a solution is excessively expensive. Therefore, an alternative appeared - a wood-like kitchen in a modern style.

Finding headsets that are made entirely of wood is pretty hard. Many manufacturers simply do not produce such furniture. However, imitating an array using veneer (thin wooden blocks) is much more practical. Quality products will not warp over time. If this does occur, it can be assumed that the material was not dried properly. For furniture to last longer, you must adhere to the following requirements:

• maintain a certain temperature;
• eliminate moisture increase;
• keep your kitchen clean.

Often in kitchens, wood is used to clad not only the floor, but also the walls, and even the ceiling. This allows you to maintain the chosen style by 100%. If you have certain skills, you can make a kitchen under a tree with your own hands.

Long-term preservation of a pleasant appearance is possible due to the coating of boards with 2 or 3 layers of alkyd-urethane varnish. And in order for the varnish or other paint to go down well, you will have to thoroughly sand the material. After that, you can take up the formation of the frame. But in the vast majority of cases, wood-like kitchens are still ordered from professionals. The preferred choice is cherry, oak and beech veneer. A little cheaper are kitchen sets with pine veneer. Despite the savings, she looks very good.

The oak veneer is beautiful. An annular pattern is clearly visible on its brownish surface. Light golden pine has a more complex pattern than oak. In addition, it better matches the canons of Russian national color. Choosing a Karelian birch, there is no doubt that the room will inspire thoughts about the elite level of the room and material well-being. But even better in a modern style, a kitchen with walnut or zebrano veneer is suitable.

When the walls are papered with wallpaper with a pattern, it is advisable to choose a veneer with a monophonic structure. But when using single-color wallpaper, you need to choose a more complex pattern. To save space and make full use of it, it is advised to use corner schemes. Natural wood can be treated with various coatings - fully or partially transparent or completely not transmitting light.

Of opaque coatings, enamel is best suited. Choose a color purely at your discretion. Although the tonality changes, the relief structure will be preserved. Neutral, not too catchy colors prevail. Choosing a kitchen with an abundance of decorative details is not recommended - they complicate the care.

Using veneers is not the same for all people. Moreover, there are even more affordable materials that can achieve exactly the same result.

• The cheapest headsets from chipboard. This material tolerates good contact with moisture and can have a varied coating. But we must remember that the fastenings of chipboards are unreliable, and it is difficult to repair them after a breakdown. You will have to carefully check which plates are used by manufacturers in a particular case. Not all of their varieties are equally resistant to moisture and water vapor.
• A more modern and attractive option is MDF. These are environmentally friendly designs that look attractive. However, it should be borne in mind that MDF is more expensive than chipboard, and moisture-resistant boards come only from abroad.

The use of wood-like tiles in the interior of a modern kitchen gives very good results. It reproduces the ornament and pattern of various wooden coatings. A sample can be not only a board, but also parquet and laminate. It is not necessary to choose a classic tile in the form of rectangles. Many copies are more likely to reproduce parquet or massive board in shape.

NSome tile options allow you to highlight the apron. Stretch ceilings can be beige or brown. Stylish curtains are often used to complement the woody composition. In a minimalistic interior, Roman and roller blinds give a very good result. Kitchens in wood in a modern style are usually decorated with matte or glossy plain surfaces.

If you use wooden furniture in dark colors, it is advisable to supplement it with stone countertops. The floor and ceiling in this case make it noticeably lighter than the headset.
