Decoupage technique
If you want to make a decoupage panel with a crackle effect, prepare an egg shell in advance. It needs to be washed, dried, removed the film that is present on the inside. It is necessary to act carefully, since the shell without a film becomes very fragile. The basis of the future product is a fiberboard sheet or plywood.
At the first stage, the workpiece must be covered with a primer layer. After it dries, we proceed to create a textured surface. To do this, we process a small area with PVA glue, apply a piece of shell to it and gently push it to crack. There should be a small distance between the pieces. After the entire surface of the sheet is covered with shell, we postpone the work until it dries. Then cover it with another primer and dry it again.
In order to make a spectacular decoration of the interior, it is not necessary to be able to draw well. Decoupage confirmation of this. Take advantage of napkins that are easy to purchase at craft stores. Lay the napkin on the prepared workpiece so that its front part is pressed against the cracked surface. Treat it with water. Moisture will separate the base film and the image. Remove the film. After the panel dries, apply glue special for a decoupage. As a result, a panel is created that looks like an old picture. This decor is appropriate in the interior of country style, Provence.
From coffee
Such a fragrant picture can be made in various ways. Both whole grains and ground product are used. The easiest option is to work with a stencil template. Areas that need to be allocated are smeared with glue. Next, ground coffee is poured on top. Remove the template very carefully. The picture is ready. It remains to wait until it dries. Whole grains are ideal for creating bulk work. You can fully lay out some specific image or abstraction. To make a kitchen panel, a little patience is required.
We offer one of the options. Take a 1 liter plastic bottle. We cut off her neck so that the height becomes about the same as that of a coffee mug. Next, cut the workpiece vertically into 2 equal parts. We will need one of them. We glue it with a glue gun to the cardboard base, so that we get half a mug.
We prepare the surface for gluing with grains: wrap with masking tape. You can glue with glue and sprinkle the workpiece with ground coffee. From cardboard we cut out an arc imitating a saucer. Apply glue, coffee grains. Garnish with dried lemon slices, cinnamon sticks.
We fix the workpieces with hot glue on the base, for example, a chipboard sheet. Think about what the background will be. A spectacular frame of such work will be a wide frame of coffee beans. If you leave the corners of the panel clean, attach small hooks to them, then such a product will turn into a key holder and will not only be beautiful, but also functional.
