Lovers of sneakers know that most models of leading shoe companies have white soles. It doesn't matter what your favorite sneakers are called, because their sole requires careful maintenance.

It can be classic monochrome Nike, youthful and bright Converse, or, having won the hearts of customers in its more than a century of history, New Balance.

At first, sneakers with white soles delight their owners with a neat look. However, sooner or later we are faced with the question: how to make the sole white again?

In the arsenal of fans of snow-white white soles, there are a variety of methods that will help return the sneakers to their original appearance. When you decide which option is right for you, clean only on a small area of the sole. If nothing has happened to her except bleaching, then feel free to continue.

Remember that always pre-clean shoes first, removing dust and dirt from the surface of the shoe. A rag or sponge with soap is ideal for this. After that, it is better to walk along the sole with a dry rag. Take note that a toothbrush is great for cleaning the sole. Unlike a foam sponge, it is able to penetrate the porous structure of a rubber sole.

Whitening methods

First of all, it is worth mentioning about bleaches or stain removers. The most effective include Vanish, Boss, and Sarma. Please note that in order to remove dirt from the sneakers, you need to prepare a product with a solution concentration of 2-2.5 times higher than normal. Thus, if it is recommended to dilute the composition with water as 1: 5, then you need to prepare a 1: 2 solution. It is better to breed shoe polish in a basin, where sneakers are then placed in such a way that the solution covers only their sole. Cover the container with cling film or plastic bag. After 40-50 minutes, the surface should be treated with a toothbrush.

It is worth noting that aggressive agents are used only when persistent dirt and stains spoil the whiteness of the sneakers. Important to know what abouttreatment with chlorinated preparations leaves yellow on a white rubber sole. After using such products, the shoes may begin to dry out and crack. Unfortunately, in this case, it becomes impossible to restore its former appearance.

If you use any kind of solvent (for example, acetone or nail polish remover), then a white cloth only will do. Such an aggressive product corrodes not only the dirt on the shoes, but also flushes the color from the rag that is being cleaned. Thus, with colored fabric, there is a risk of transmitting the shade to the sole.

Hydrogen peroxide or chlorhexidine can be purchased at any pharmacy to clean the soles. Be careful, the concentration of drugs should not exceed 6%. A clean, dry sole is wiped with a cotton pad, heavily soaked with a solution of peroxide or chlorhexidine. After 10 minutes, the remaining dirt and dust are removed with a damp cloth.
