For a real woman, body care is necessary. The representatives of the beautiful half of humanity are especially careful about caring for delicate and sensitive skin of their hands.

Basic Rules

None of us would like to determine age by hand, and it is this part of the body that is primarily prone to aging. The fact is that the skin of the hands is especially dry and vulnerable, since there is little water and sebaceous glands in it, so cracks and wrinkles on the hands are an urgent problem for all girls and women.

In addition, our hands are affected by constant housekeeping and washing dishes using fairly aggressive cleaning agents. And even if they are marked “with balm” or “reliably protects the skin of the hands”, it’s especially not worth believing in such advertising moves. Such daily "chemistry" negatively affects gentle ladies' hands.

Yes, and no one canceled the impact of weather conditions and the constant impact of the external environment (from the scorching sun to strong wind and frost). From this, the skin of the hands usually crack, becomes dry and causes a lot of trouble to its owner. That is why caring for hands, fingers and palms should be daily and proper, in order to maintain their health and beauty for many years.

Remember that without reliable protection, hands can “attack” various skin diseases and dermatitis. And since the main goal of such care is the formation of a protective layer so that moisture does not evaporate from the surface, it means that along with the use of cosmetics and creams, it is worth drinking a lot of water, which will be an additional factor in moisturizing the skin.

Stages

Hand care is a whole system of cosmetic procedures, which can be divided into several main stages:

  • cleansing;
  • exfoliation;
  • massage;
  • hydration, nutrition and protection;
  • regular masks;
  • care for cuticles and nails.

Unfortunately, such an important stage of hand care as cleansing, many women miss and do not give it due attention. But in vain, because before applying a nourishing cream to the face, we first get rid of the remnants of cosmetics and other impurities, so it would be logical to use this rule for hands as well.

Dry hands are often the result of improperly selected soap or gel, so pay attention to the composition of the cleanser, preferring natural components from plant extracts. After washing, dry your hands, and then apply a nourishing cream. And in order to carry out the cleansing procedure even where there is no soap and water at hand, take care of a compact antibacterial gel, which should become a regular bag. Although intensive antibacterial agents, experts still recommend using it to a minimum, since they dry the skin of the hands very much.

An exfoliation procedure is needed to remove old epidermal cells and activate skin renewal. - so she will look young no matter how old you are. To exfoliate, you need a special scrub or peeling, which can be bought at a cosmetics store or made with your own hands from "improvised" means - for example, sugar, oatmeal or coffee grounds with the addition of any vegetable oil.

One of the important components of care is massage. At the same time, it is not necessary to run to the salon at all, you can regularly carry out self-massage procedures at home - this is both pleasant and not so expensive. A good massage of the skin of the hands, palms and fingers can significantly improve blood flow, relieve tension from tired muscles and relax.

Among the options for home self-massage, we note the following:

  • pressing, rubbing and kneading fingers and hands;
  • kneading palms with auxiliary items such as a small ball or natural stones;
  • acupressure massage of hands "shiatsu", which affects the state of all body systems.

    And finally, after all the procedures carried out, it was the turn to nourish the skin with cream. Its use is also necessary to moisturize and protect the skin of the hands from negative external influences. To prepare a homemade drug in the form of a hand cream, you will need a tablespoon of the crushed mixture of chamomile, marigold, plantain and a string. Pour herbs in a glass of boiling water and insist overnight. The next morning we filter and use the following proportions: to 1 tsp. infusion add 50 g of butter and 1 tsp. honey, thoroughly mixing everything until smooth. If the house has glycerin, add cream and a few drops of lemon to it to create another miraculous hand remedy. And in order to disinfect the skin and heal wounds, choose cosmetics based on chamomile.

    After tidying up your skin, do not forget about nails, since they, like the hairstyle, are the hallmark of a woman, and simply must look well-groomed and neat. Nails need to be filed regularly, cut the cuticle and moisturize the skin around them. And a do-it-yourself manicure or gel nail extension in the salon is already a personal choice for each lady, depending on her financial capabilities and ideas about perfect beauty.

    Salon treatments

    In addition to home hand care, professional salons will sometimes be worth visiting, as there are currently many interesting and effective salon care procedures that will enrich your skin with vitamins, useful substances and significantly rejuvenate it. It will be especially important to set aside time to visit the salon in winter, when the skin suffers greatly from negative natural effects.

    The most popular cosmetic hand care procedure is paraffin therapy., which, by the way, was used in ancient Rome.And in the era of the USSR, this technique was often used to regenerate the tone of muscles and skin after sports injuries. Now this procedure brings not only the purely practical benefits of hand care, but also gives extraordinary relaxation to the whole body, since the nerve endings on our palms affect all organs of the body.

    Toning paraffin therapy is performed using molten paraffin. He envelops his hands, freezes and creates a kind of glove, under which the effect of a sauna is created. Therefore, the skin first releases moisture, which is saturated with oxygen, and then returns to the epidermal cells.

    This procedure is especially recommended for those who have very dry or cracked skin on their hands.

    An effective and popular salon procedure is hand massage. It is logical that it will be more effective and efficient when carried out immediately with two hands and with the help of a specialist in their field. Massage activates all points and cells, and also improves blood circulation.

    Chocolate wrap for hands - a healthy, aromatic and tasty procedure. In addition to the regeneration and nutrition of cells, the skin will acquire an even tone, and age spots and redness will gradually disappear. In addition, thanks to chocolate, as you know, the production of “pleasure hormones” takes place, which means that you will be provided with an excellent mood after going to the beauty salon.

    Alginate wraps and masks are seaweed wraps that relieve inflammation, activate blood circulation and stimulate the oxygen supply process.

    Algae masks and wraps in a very short time will restore damaged skin, and make your hands soft and velvety.

    Recipes

    To keep your skin young and attractive, try to take care of it with your own peeling. This highly effective cosmetic product frees the skin from old cells, giving place to young ones. An affordable and easy option is sugar peeling. To do this, pour 1 tsp. granulated sugar, add 1 tsp. olive or other vegetable oil, mix the ingredients and rub the peeling in a circular motion into the skin of the hands.

    You will automatically get a cuticle massage. A few minutes of this pleasant procedure are enough, after which the peeling is washed off, and the hand is gently cleaned with a napkin without the use of water or soap, so that olive oil nourishes the skin. Believe me, after such a procedure, the surface of the skin becomes simply silk to the touch. If desired, in the composition of such a natural and absolutely safe means for exfoliating, you can use sea salt or crushed oatmeal.

    Oatmeal scrub is done simply - they are brewed with boiling water, and when the mixture cools down, it massage the skin of the hands. Such a light and soft scrub can be used every day, without fear of harming the upper layer of the skin.

    If you are a coffee machine, do not throw away the thick, but make a useful hand scrub out of it. It must be mixed with natural oil (for example, olive, apricot or ordinary sunflower). Since such a scrub is very intense, it will be enough to apply it a couple of times a week.

    And if you want to whiten your skin or get rid of obsessive freckles, you can add ingredients like cream, sour cream or lemon juice to any scrub.

    If you do not trust in-store SPA products, it's time to take care of hand cosmetics yourself. Mask for moisturizing includes 1 tsp. honey, 1 tsp fat sour cream and 0.5 tsp. turmeric. This composition is enough to apply with light massaging movements and hold on hands for 10 minutes, then rinse with water. Due to the action of turmeric, the skin of the hands receives additional nutrition and recovery. The only drawback of the mask is that due to the rich pigment for a short time, it will paint the hands and nails yellow, so do this before bedtime.

    In winter, the first mask for the skin of the hands will be the next mask. Lemon zest must be mixed with 2 tbsp. lfat cottage cheese, 1 tsp. tea leaves and 1 tsp. olive oil. And if for half an hour, during which the mask is absorbed, you cannot sit around, just put on rubber gloves on your hands.

    Accessible to everyone, a delicious and nutritious mask - banana. To prepare it, take 1 banana and 1 tsp. any vegetable oil. Banana porridge with oil should be warmed up and applied warmly on hands. After complete cooling, the mixture is washed off with warm water, and your hands will become much softer in a matter of minutes.

    In order not to leave all the money in beauty salons, learn how to make easy-to-use hand baths. They not only moisturize and nourish the skin, but also give a calming and healing effect. They can be with sea salt, natural herbs (for example, with chamomile, St. John's wort) or medicinal mud.

    You can also make a beer bath with chamomile. For this, freshly picked flowers are added to warm beer, hands are placed there for 10 minutes. Chamomile disinfects wounds and removes inflammation, and beer softens the skin. Other useful baths with herbal ingredients include mint, linden, linseed, oak, with wild rose or hypericum. Herbs are poured with boiling water and insist 5-10 minutes. Each bathtub lasts half an hour, and after them a cream is applied to the hands. Similar procedures are carried out every day for 1-2 weeks.

    Every woman’s home arsenal should also have all kinds of oils. It will be enough to apply a suitable oil on your hands, adding a few drops of vitamins A or E here, and put on cotton gloves. The action of any oil will only intensify warm compresses. For them, you can take 3 parts of oil and 1 part of honey, heating the mixture in a water bath to a warm state. The mixture is applied to the skin of the hands and covered with gauze or cloth for half an hour.

    Those who have sensitive skin and are prone to allergic reactions, you can recommend using a baby cream or a cream of their own preparation. To do this, you will need children's body lotion, vitamin E capsules and petroleum jelly. The components are mixed with a whisk until a homogeneous state is achieved.

    Tips

    • Wash your hands with room temperature water, as water that is too cold will peel off. And to prevent burrs, wipe your hands thoroughly and do not leave moisture on them.
    • When doing housework using any cleaning products, be sure to use gloves. Modern chemistry is very aggressive - if it can clean off rust, then the skin layer is even more so.
    • It often happens that there are allergic reactions to a new cosmetic product. Since women use powders every day, due to the cumulative effect, the effect of the product on the hands can be irreparable. If you don’t have gloves at hand or if you simply forgot to wear them, use a simple tool that will help restore the PH balance of the skin of your hands: smear them with a mixture of sour milk (1 tbsp.) With apple cider vinegar (2 tbsp.).
    • In winter and autumn, do not neglect gloves and gloves - the cold and wind can make a dried desert out of your skin. If possible, use a humidifier at home, as steam heating dries it indoors.
    • Do not drain the water in which the potatoes were cooked. Its warm infusion perfectly copes with the role of a nourishing hand bath.
    • If you still have whey from cottage cheese, use it as an effective tool to remove age spots on the skin.
    • A mixture of equal parts of glycerin and lemon will help to make your hands soft to the touch and velvety in appearance.
    • After washing your hands, wipe them with fresh cucumber, which is an excellent tonic for the skin.
    • In spring and summer, be sure to protect your hands from aggressive ultraviolet radiation, using sprays or creams for them with the maximum degree of protection.
    • Another little secret is to use, if possible, a regular baby cream to soften your skin.There are at least harmful additives in it, and more than enough benefits.
    • Nails and cuticles also need hydration, therefore, in combination with a hand cream, purchase a special cuticle preparation or use vitamin E capsules.
    • Take vitamins and drink more water - this prevents collapse of collagen fibers and premature aging. In order for the skin to be healthy, beautiful, moisturized and with a minimum of wrinkles, it is also worth eating right and eating a lot of fruits. This will not only improve the condition of the skin, but also enhance immunity and protect against all kinds of diseases.
    • When buying hand cream, be sure to pay attention to its composition. It should not contain silicones, artificial colors, parabens, oil refined products and other “muck”, which can negatively affect skin health and often provoke allergic reactions.
    • In winter, it is worth applying a nourishing cream as often as possible - at least 3 times a day. Moreover, if in the summer we apply a moisturizer during the day, and nutritious before bedtime, then in cold weather everything happens with the exact opposite. Intensive nutrition and oily texture of the cream you will need during the day when you go out in the cold.
    • If in hot weather you are concerned about such a problem as sweating your hands, it is enough to apply a solution of salicylic acid with alcohol in the composition on the skin.
    • If the skin of your hands is too dry and begins to peel off, choose creams that contain almond oil, aloe, avocado, shea, jojoba oil. And for the reddened and inflamed skin of the hands, the soothing properties of lavender oil or tea tree in the cream will help.

    To make the hands look well-groomed at any age, experts recommend starting to do special procedures from the age of 25 - for example, massage and special masks. At 40 years, you can increase the frequency of visits to a professional salon up to 2 times a month, and after 50 years, if possible once a week.
